Pheasants Forever is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. At the heart of Pheasants Forever is the unique grassroots system of fundraising and project development that allows members to see the direct result of their contributions. Pheasants Forever and its quail division, Quail Forever, empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent - the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure. As a result, chapter volunteers are able to see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy.

The Centra Sota story began in 1877 when farmers joined together to market milk and butter through a local creamery. In 1922, Producers Coop Creamery was formed and became the first cooperative to produce Land O Lakes Sweet Cream Butter. Since the 1940s, we have grown and acquired other cooperatives in central Minnesota, resulting in the name change to Centra Sota Cooperative. While we have a history of growth, we've made strategic decisions about each changes to ensure that it would benefit our member owners and the entire cooperative. Since then, our business has continued to evolve as we strive to not just meet, but to exceed, the expectations of our members and our growing base of customers. We are now a well-rounded cooperative with strong business units in agronomy, energy, feed and grain, country stores, and lawn care. Great River Greening inspires, engages and leads local communities in conserving and caring for the land and water that enrich our lives. We create resilient landscapes, address biodiversity loss, and sequester and store carbon through community-based stewardship. Our work began in 1995 with a massive volunteer tree planting project in Saint Paul along the riverfront and West Side Flats. We have since engaged our communities in the restoration of approximately 45,000 acres at nearly 400 sites throughout Minnesota. Great River Greening’s team has expertise in ecosystem management, environmental stewardship, and community-building.
