Pheasants Forever is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. At the heart of Pheasants Forever is the unique grassroots system of fundraising and project development that allows members to see the direct result of their contributions. Pheasants Forever and its quail division, Quail Forever, empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent - the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure. The Centra Sota story began in 1877 when farmers joined together to market milk and butter through a local creamery. In 1922, Producers Coop Creamery was formed and became the first cooperative to produce Land O Lakes Sweet Cream Butter. Since the 1940s, we have grown and acquired other cooperatives in central Minnesota, resulting in the name change to Centra Sota Cooperative. While we have a history of growth, we've made strategic decisions about each changes to ensure that it would benefit our member owners and the entire cooperative.
