Central Minnesota Council on Aging is a non-profit organization and designated by the Minnesota Board on Aging (off site) as the area agency on aging serving Benton, Cass, Chisago, Crow Wing, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Wadena and Wright counties. The Central Minnesota Council on Aging is committed to maintaining the highest level of independence with older people by developing and coordinating community care, reducing isolation and improving access to services. It does this by: Administering the Title III Federal Older American Act funds by awarding funding to local community providers to provide home supportive services, caregiver support, health promotion and disease management, home delivered meals and congregate dining. Collaborating with communities, cities, counties, faith-based organizations, regional development commissions and health and social service providers to meet the needs of our growing senior population. This is accomplished through coordinated development of caregiver support, volunteer-based services and community resources. Making it easier for seniors and their caregivers to access health and supportive services. Through the Senior LinkAge Line® seniors and their families can learn about available resources. Family Pathways was established in 1978 as a 501(c)3 grassroots community organization in Chisago County, providing counseling services to youth and families. Today Family Pathways is a leading human service organization providing a person-centered response to social determinants that affect the health and well-being of residents across east-central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. A deep-rooted history in the community and direct service expertise in multiple program areas, including access to healthy food, domestic violence, sexual assault intervention, and supportive services for older adults- makes Family Pathways unique. Family Pathways’ mission is to work alongside people to enhance lives through a continuum of essential services and, together with the community, champion positive social change. Together with volunteers, donors, partners, and the community at large, neighbors can access stability and hope - contributing to the overall vitality of the region. Programming includes Food Equity and Access Services comprised of nine food shelves and a mobile food truck; Parenting Time Services assuring children have safe contact with family members as they navigate challenging times and transitions. Aging Services engage our aging population through companionship, advocacy, education, and caregiver support. At the same time, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services provide comprehensive assistance to victims of family violence and sexual assault. Each of these programs is supported, in part, through the Family Pathways social enterprise model, which consists of ten thrift stores and a recycling center.

Partnered with senior management to streamline the recruiting process with an emphasis on hiring the best possible candidate. Improved recruitment, orientation and training programs to maximize performance and retention. In conjunction with the Board of Directors, developed strategic plans on organizational, change management, fund development and staffing issues. Developed databases to track EEO data, interviews and applicant tracking. Periodically updated the employee information manual and personnel policies to ensure compliance with changing federal and state regulations. Worked with the team to create positive donor experiences including press releases, social media campaigns and radio spots.
