Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) is a regional community service providing services, programs and activities for people in the Capital Region. Formerly known as Belconnen Community Service, CRCS provides programs to a wide range of people in the ACT and regional NSW, both in partnership and as a sole provider. CRCS prides itself on professional and high quality service. Employees advocate on behalf of and promote issues affecting marginalised groups in our communities. We are the primary provider of programs and services dedicated to the Belconnen area. The Association for Child Development (ACD) is a nonprofit organization that educates parents and caregivers about nutrition to promote the development of children and establish healthy eating habits to last a lifetime. ACD's primary responsibility is administering one of the largest CACFP sponsorships in the nation, serving both Illinois and Michigan. By monitoring more than 4,700 child care homes and 50 centers, ACD prepares monthly reimbursement checks for each of these Child Care Providers. MRC Industries, Inc. serves individuals living with developmental or learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, emotional impairments and mental illness. The organization began in the 1940's when a group of parents took the initiative to provide alternatives for their disabled children. Incorporating officially in 1969, MRC has remained close to its family roots while evolving into a non-profit agency that administers innovative and diverse services through its programs: McKercher Services, Pathways Clubhouse, and BridgeWays. MRC's service philosophy is that every person is unique, valuable, and entitled to be treated with respect and dignity. Person-centered programs and services focus on individual needs, desires, strengths, and abilities-supporting people to become independent at home, at work, and in the community. In all programs and services, MRC's highly trained staff members have made a career choice to work with people with disabilities. They are skilled, committed individuals who enjoy having caring and respectful personal relationships with the people they serve. MRC is a 501(c)3 organization.
