Our programs address the needs of education, nutrition, self-sufficiency, and protection for 30,000 people in northern Indiana each year. REAL Services has three "divisions"​: Area Agency on Aging, Community Action Agency, and Alzheimer’s Services. These three divisions serve vulnerable older adults and low-income persons of all ages. The emphasis of the Area Agency on Aging is to assist older people to maintain independence as much as possible. The emphasis of the Community Action Agency is to assist low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency. Alzheimer’s Services of Northern Indiana provides support to those suffering from dementia. REAL Services is the Area Agency on Aging for the Older Americans Act which builds a network of services for older adults and the physically disabled. Community Services programs, which support single parents and low-income families, are designed to break the cycle of dependence on public assistance. REAL Services, believing in the dignity of all people, will provide services without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran.

Our Clubhouses run programs designed to be fun and engaging, while building skills and confidence for a successful future. Our areas of focus include Academic Success and Career Development, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. In addition, we offer programs in Sports and Recreation and the Creative Arts and have specialized programming for Teen members. We are located in neighborhoods where the greatest need exists. We’re open when kids need us most - after school, on most school breaks, and all day during the summer. Today, we have locations in Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, and Nappanee and serve over 6,000 youth annually.
