Believing in the dignity of all people, the objective of REAL Services is to assist in establishing a community in which those we serve can maintain their independence to the maximum degree possible and find meaning and satisfaction throughout their lives. To fulfill our mission, the programs we offer enhance quality of life. Additional programs provide education for individuals and families through Options Counseling, Aging and Disability Resource Center, Lunch n’ Learns, Chronic Disease Management, Medicare Counseling, Financial Literacy, and more. REAL Services is an umbrella organization for more than 20 programs that assist elderly, disabled and low-income individuals in 12 Northern Indiana County. Our programs address the needs of education, nutrition, self-sufficiency, and protection for 30,000 people in northern Indiana each year. REAL Services has three "divisions"​: Area Agency on Aging, Community Action Agency, and Alzheimer’s Services. These three divisions serve vulnerable older adults and low-income persons of all ages. The emphasis of the Area Agency on Aging is to assist older people to maintain independence as much as possible. The emphasis of the Community Action Agency is to assist low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency. Alzheimer’s Services of Northern Indiana provides support to those suffering from dementia. REAL Services is the Area Agency on Aging for the Older Americans Act which builds a network of services for older adults and the physically disabled. Community Services programs, which support single parents and low-income families, are designed to break the cycle of dependence on public assistance. REAL Services, believing in the dignity of all people, will provide services without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran.

Community Action is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 human service organization founded in 1966 and that is dedicated to helping people achieve and maintain independence. To this end, the agency provides basic needs assistance to elderly, disabled and low- to moderate-income families in the Michigan counties of Barry, Branch, Calhoun, and St. Joseph. Services and programs we provided include Head Start, food assistance, Meals on Wheels, housing assistance, utility assistance and senior transportation.

Family & Children’s Center is one of northern Indiana’s major non-profit human services agencies. We serve more than one thousand children and families annually throughout St. Joseph County through our early childhood and parent education and support programs. Family & Children’s Center is dedicated to strengthening the holistic health of young families through Healthy Families, The Brain Train, counseling, and parenting programs. Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan’s Heartland (GICMH) assists persons who have barriers to employment through training, employment, and other services. GICMH is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable organization. Goodwill Industries is not a government agency. A volunteer Board of Directors that is made up of local citizens provides oversight to the organization, ensuring that community needs are met.

We are the first stop for people with disabilities and their families in Southwest Michigan. We serve people in Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph & Van Buren Counties. As the leading disability social services organization in Southwest Michigan, our goal is to help foster a community where people with disabilities are able to participate fully in everyday life with equal opportunities and self-determination. Whether someone has a physical, psychiatric, neurological, or sensory disabilities, we believe they should be able to thrive and grow at home, in the workplace, and in their community. We also assist organizations, businesses, and government agencies to understand their rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We provide workshops and onsite training, technical assistance and support in learning to be welcoming of people with disabilities as customers, clients, patrons, volunteers, or employees.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is a youth development organization with over 65 years of experience staffed by skilled, caring professionals who see potential in every child and teen that walks through our doors. Our mission is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential, as productive, caring, responsible, citizens. We are here to elevate the youth of our community and let them know that they are capable, worthy and important. We offer safe places where young people can learn, grow, and succeed. Since the doors of The Goshen Boys Club first opened in 1956, our organization has been a force for good in the lives of young people. As soon as Club members walk through our doors, they enter an environment of stability, consistency, and physical and emotional safety. Each day, we welcome more than 1,300 youth between the ages of six and 18 to our Clubhouses and school-based sites. Each day we build deeply powerful relationships with the youth we serve and open avenues of opportunity for young people across our community. Our Clubhouses run programs designed to be fun and engaging, while building skills and confidence for a successful future. Our areas of focus include Academic Success and Career Development, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. In addition, we offer programs in Sports and Recreation and the Creative Arts and have specialized programming for Teen members. We are located in neighborhoods where the greatest need exists. We’re open when kids need us most - after school, on most school breaks, and all day during the summer. Today, we have locations in Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, and Nappanee and serve over 6,000 youth annually.

Paws With A Cause enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities through custom-trained assistance dogs. PAWS promotes awareness of the rights and roles of assistance dog teams through education and advocacy.

Coalition for the Homeless is the nation's oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless men, women, and children. We are dedicated to the principle that affordable housing, sufficient food, and the chance to work for a living wage are fundamental rights in a civilized society. Since our inception in 1981, the Coalition has worked through litigation, public education, and direct services to ensure that these goals are realized.
