(CSO) is a community-based nonprofit behavioral health agency providing individuals and families with comprehensive, holistic care throughout Western Massachusetts and the North Quabbin region. With 16 locations in five Massachusetts counties (Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester), CSO offers an “Open Access” model, with walk-in availability and “No Wrong Door” coordinated entry. CSO embraces a trauma-informed culture in fulfillment of its mission to provide responsive and effective interventions and therapeutic services to support adults, children and families. CSO serves more than 18,000 individuals and families annually in their quest for stability, growth and an enhanced quality of life. CSO provides a full range of behavioral and mental health and substance abuse outpatient services, including: • Urgent outpatient assessment & treatment • Diagnostic evaluations • Therapy for children, adolescents and adults • Child and adult psychiatry • Sexual abuse and trauma treatment for survivors and families • Treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD and general adjustment disorders • Group therapy • Structured outpatient addiction programs • Medication management • Intensive outpatient programs CSO Crisis Programs provide behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization for youth, families and adults 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. CSO’s Family Support Services are part of the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). CSO’s Friends of the Homeless (FOH) provides a warm bed and hot shower to more than 1,100 individual adults each year and serves 157,000+ hot meals to anyone in need of food. In addition, FOH case works help FOH guests find work and permanent homes, navigate state and federal assistance programs and access mental health supports.
