Stop The Wait RI (STW) is a 501(c)(4) organization whose mission is to Amplify parent voices, build community power, and successfully advocate for the conditions that will create the best educational landscape for our children. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) passionately advocates for civic engagement and electoral participation within the public charter school community in Rhode Island. The CEO provides leadership and is responsible for implementing the vision of the organization; building and leading a strong team of organizers and communicators; developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and driving greater electoral advocacy and mobilization for our community of students, alumni, and families. The CEO is an important member of the community, representing Stop The Wait RI externally and working closely with community partners, including school leaders, nonprofit organizations, and elected officials. The CEO develops and implements a robust, scalable stakeholder engagement strategy geared towards establishing an ongoing dialogue, creating clear feedback loops, and facilitating collaboration with community partners while developing and executing a voter registration and mobilization strategy to ensure that charter school families and stakeholders are able to fully realize their electoral influence. Lastly, the CEO builds a strong grassroots organization of supporters and cultivates a culture of deep, lasting participation in the work to advocate for improved outcomes for Rhode Island public school students while also developing and executing a fundraising plan that will enable the organization to fully realize its strategic vision with the financial resources on-hand.
