NANTUCKET PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN, INC.
Nantucket, Massachusetts

Nantucket New School is a co-educational day school serving students in pre-school through grade eight. Within a warm and nurturing school community, our program encourages academic excellence, respects the pace of childhood, and seeks to instill in our students curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. In creating strong partnerships between school and family, we foster kindness, self-confidence, self-knowledge, and social responsibility. We believe that a small school is uniquely equipped to meet the individual needs of students and their families. A low student/teacher ratio provides opportunities for us consistently to recognize each student as a person and as a learner. Essential to our success are strong student/teacher relationships, as well as partnerships between teachers and parents, creating a family atmosphere where students of different ages are able to interact cooperatively on a regular basis. We believe in and are committed to purposeful involvement in the unique community that is Nantucket and seek to build a student body that reflects the changing diversity of the island. Core Values - attention to the individual learner - student/teacher partnership - active family participation - strong ties to the Nantucket community - friendships among children of all ages

OUR SISTERS' SCHOOL, INC.
OUR SISTERS' SCHOOL, INC.
New Bedford, Massachusetts
25-49 employees
Our Sisters' School opened in 2008 as a tuition-free independent school for girls, in grades 5 to 8, from low-income families. Our mission is to educate and inspire middle school girls from the Greater New Bedford area to reach their full potential in a safe, supportive and challenging environment. We have no religious affiliation. We are named after a few bold, brave women called Sister Sailors who joined expeditions on whaling ships in the early 1800's. Experiential learning activities both in and outside the classrooms help our students develop excellent skills for success in high school, college and beyond. We offer many opportunities for girls to be leaders in the school community and continually strive to build self-esteem and respect for others.

COACHING FOR CHANGE
COACHING FOR CHANGE
Taunton, Massachusetts

Coaching4Change (C4C) mobilizes college students to serve low-income K-12 school districts, expanding pathways for student success and building a pipeline of future educators. Over the last decade, CEO Marquis Taylor and Co-Founder Pete Berman have developed a model to recruit, train, and place local, diverse, and talented college students to support school improvement initiatives aimed at increasing student engagement and improving school culture and climate. With over 60% of C4C college students identifying as people of color, C4C increases diversity among adult leaders in school buildings who provide individualized attention to the elementary and middle school students they serve. Professional educators supervise and coach the college students, creating a cross-age mentoring model that promotes growth opportunities for all levels of C4C participation. Each partnership is tailored to meet the needs of the partnering school, including virtual and in-person experiences that can be implemented during the school day, after-school, or during vacation time. C4C co-designs the college student placement experiences with the school partner leadership teams, then continues to provide ongoing support to the college students, school leaders, and supervisors throughout the life of the partnership.
