NEW ENGLAND BAKERY DRIVERS AND ITS MEMBER LOCAL UNIONS
NEW ENGLAND BAKERY DRIVERS AND ITS MEMBER LOCAL UNIONS
Manchester, New Hampshire
500+ employees
The Teamsters are one of North America’s largest, most diverse unions. In 1903, the Teamsters started as a merger of the two leading team driver associations. These drivers were the backbone of America’s robust economic growth, but they needed to organize to wrest their fair share from greedy corporations. Today, the Union’s task is exactly the same. The Teamsters are known as the champion of freight drivers and warehouse workers, but have organized workers in virtually every occupation imaginable, both professional and non-professional, private sector and public sector. Our 1.2 million members are public defenders in Minnesota; vegetable workers in California; sanitation workers in New York; brewers in St. Louis; newspaper workers in Seattle; construction workers in Las Vegas; zoo keepers in Pennsylvania; healthcare workers in Rhode Island; bakery workers in Maine; airline pilots, secretaries and police officers. Name the occupation and chances are we represent those workers somewhere. Teamsters stand ready to organize workers who want to bargain collectively. Once a contract is negotiated and signed, the Union works to enforce it—holding management’s feet to the fire and invoking contract grievance procedures if management chooses not to. Wages and benefits under Teamster contracts are markedly better than those of non-union employees in similar jobs. Teamster contracts are the guarantors of decent wages, fair promotion, health coverage, job security, paid time-off and retirement income. The Teamsters Union also performs vital tasks in such areas as pension management, safety & health, community outreach, governmental affairs and communications. For more than a century, the Teamsters have been a public voice for the rights and aspirations of working men and women and a key player in securing them.

SCHLOTTERBECK & FOSS COMPANY
SCHLOTTERBECK & FOSS COMPANY
Westbrook, Maine
100-499 employees
Augustus G. Schlotterbeck and Charles S. Foss founded Schlotterbeck & Foss Company in Portland, Maine in 1866. The company began as a prescription apothecary shop, moving to patented medicines and flavoring extracts. From the horse & buggy days to the present, Schlotterbeck & Foss has earned and maintained a reputation for quality products and fair dealings. Behind our rich (and delicious) history lies a solid foundation of innovation. While honoring those time-tested recipes that secured our reputation, we keep ourselves open to new trends. We’re constantly tasting, sampling and looking for ways to improve and expand our offerings to grow with our customers. For us, that means a blend of tradition and technology, taking the best from both worlds. While our manufacturing process has been streamlined through computerization, our cooking is still done in small batches, with the care of handcrafting, to bring out the most vibrant flavors. Our company is housed in a historic building, but our facility glistens with stainless steel pipes, specialty kettles and the latest machinery. We have a broad and diverse distribution base, yet we still pack all of our products by hand. We measure our success by product quality and living our values: remaining dedicated to a small-batch manufacturing process, in which every employee has a sense of ownership, and using only the finest ingredients. To that end, our fudges are made of the finest Dutch cocoas, our vanillas from the best Madagascar beans, and our coffees from specialty roasted beans grown around the world. The fruits and vegetables in our sauces and salsas are the freshest available and, whenever possible, organic. The seasonings and spices we choose for our dressings, grilling sauces, mustards and marinades are all-natural. We believe you can taste the goodness of quality ingredients and careful craftsmanship.

HANNAH INTERNATIONAL FOODS, INC.
HANNAH INTERNATIONAL FOODS, INC.
Seabrook, New Hampshire
25-49 employees
In 1980 Abraham Hannah could not find the protein-rich food he had enjoyed in his native Lebanon, so he set up a kitchen to produce an authentic recipe taught to him by his wife. He made hommus, taboule, and baba ganouj, and sold them to Kosher and natural food stores throughout the Boston region. Business proved to be so successful that Abraham recruited his son George to help sell his products. From these humble beginings, Hannah Foods has grown into a multi-million dollar manufacturer of a huge variety of dips, spreads, and salads. But despite our success, we still retain the family values we had when we first started. Hannah Foods yearns to promote progress, by innovating on the methods used in today’s food industries in hopes of creating a better tomorrow. We are more than just a food company; we are an extended member of your community and family. Our vision is to encourage a change in our customer’s ordinary lifestyle in aspirations of guiding them to a healthier way of life through alternative and delicious cuisines. We pride on ourselves on our passion and our commitment to ensuring a high quality product. Our work at Hannah International Foods is never done. We are always at the forefront of developing new ways we can benefit you. With that being said, the people at Hannah International Foods are hard at work, doing their best to raise the standard for high quality food.
