Overlooking Camden Harbor and adjacent to the Camden Public Library, Camden Harbor Park and the Amphitheatre both are historic landscapes dating back to 1928, the gift of Mary Louise Curtis Bok. The former was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. and the latter by Fletcher Steele. Camden Harbor Park is a contributing resource to the High Street District on the National Register of Historic Places. The Amphitheatre has been designated a NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK by the Secretary of Interior. There are only 2540 of these in the entire USA. Active programs in the parks include concerts, lectures, fairs, tours and weddings.
