Alexandria Country Day School was founded in 1969, and is an independent, coeducational school. We are non-sectarian, and serve grades Prekindergarten 3 through 8. ACDS offers a challenging curriculum as well as many opportunities to excel in athletics and in the arts. Many of our alumni go on to become National Merit Scholars and are accepted and win scholarships to some of the finest universities in the nation. • Worked in a self-contained and departmentalized academic environment for grades 5-9. • Complied with teachers academic plans and guided students through daily learning objectives. • Supervised children in recess activity and in hallways between classes. • Filled in for class teachers and supervised children whenever the need arose. • Planned and implemented fun and engaging activities for children to participate in during allotted hours.

Private School Village (PSV), a nationwide, parent-led nonprofit organization, cultivates and harnesses the power of community to positively transform the private school experience for Black families so that students fully thrive.​ PSV empowers parent engagement to instill student well-being, normalize inclusive and equitable communities, and encourage lasting systemic and institutional policy and process change that will impact a student's healthy development. We do this in partnership with families and schools by increasing racial literacy, socialization, representation, and related research.
