As the business office manager I am required to interact with patients and customers on a daily basis while maintaining professionalism and providing excellent customer service. •Implement and maintain accurate Meaningful Use and Core Measures in compliance with national guidelines. •Help prepare patient charts and perform a variety of necessary pre-testing prior to each patient seeing the optometrist. •Accurately complete all of the insurance authorizations, claim submissions, claim appeals, and payments from insurance companies and patients. •Oversee all of the charges being entered into our computer systems; balance the cash drawer as well as the merchant processing terminals. •Maintain monthly accounts receivable and determine the reasoning behind any outstanding balances from patients and insurance companies.
