Newco Metals, Inc. was founded in 1986 as a metal trading company supplying aluminum billet to the extrusion industry and trading in the primary aluminum industry. In 1987, Newco Metals started trading in the automotive and die casting industries and moved its office fourteen miles northeast of Indianapolis to a twelve acre scrap purchasing, processing and trading facility. Newco Metals quickly expanded from a 10,000 square foot to a 50,000 square foot warehouse, with the addition of 20,000 square feet of concrete for materials processing. Over the years Newco has continuously grown, adding equipment including two balers, shake-tables, roll-off and semi trucks, spectrographic & X-Ray analysis, radiation detection and surveillance equipment. Most recently a fraud prevention/inventory control/retail sales system called ScrapDragon has been added to further enhance our operation. Newco Metals is making protection of the environment a higher priority than ever before. Certain governmental regulations, such as Superfund Recycling Act, are promoting awareness of environmental issues within the metal industry.
