Megan Reilly came to The Clowes Fund in 2015 as an accomplished grantmaker with a deep appreciation for the nonprofit sector and for supporting effective leaders that are making a difference in our world. Megan has worked with a number of family and community boards to achieve their philanthropic goals, and her experience spans the fields of immigrant services, workforce development and education. Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Megan served as the Fund’s Program Director following four years as New England Program Officer. Megan earned a Masters of Business Administration at Brandeis University, Heller School of Social Policy and Management after a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Boston University. Megan is a graduate of the LeadBoston leadership development program who honed her skills through 15 years of experience at The Boston Foundation and then at Hemenway & Barnes. After 21 years in philanthropy, Megan has a well-established network across New England and a growing network of mission-focused colleagues in Indianapolis.

The American Fraternal Alliance, formed in 1886, unites the not-for-profit fraternal benefit societies operating in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. Alliance member societies represent nearly 8 million individuals, making it one of America’s largest member-volunteer networks. Each year members of fraternal benefit societies invest more than 75 million hours in community works and contribute more than $486 million to charitable programs supporting community service projects. Fraternal benefit societies provide financial services, including life insurance and annuities, as well as a variety of other benefits such as scholarships, educational programs, vocational opportunities, and group discount programs to members.

CILTI preserves the best of Central Indiana’s natural areas, protecting plants and animals, so Hoosiers can experience the wonder of the state’s natural heritage. Our organization is a member of Indiana Land Protection Alliance and is nationally accredited by the Land Trust Alliance Commission. CILTI works closely with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. We proudly partner with the Division of Nature Preserves, The Nature Conservancy and many land trusts from across the state in our land protection efforts. To guide our work, we have developed a strategic conservation plan that blends landscape, plant community and species-based methodologies. Our approach is three-tiered, as we strive to: -protect land of local or community significance* -assist partners with their priority lands** -preserve core conservation areas (our main focus) How We Work: The Central Indiana Land Trust has protected more than 5,500 acres of Indiana’s natural heritage since 1990. This protection usually takes one of three forms: -We own and manage nature preserves. After receiving donations of land or buying land, we manage those lands as preserves for the benefit of the public. -We hold conservation easements. We forge legal agreements with willing landowners to protect their land by restricting certain activities and conserving conservation values forever. -We form management agreements. We help landowners develop and implement stewardship plans that protect their properties’ unique conservation values. *Land of local or community significance includes properties that may be less valuable from an ecosystem standpoint, but are meaningful projects because of their special features or importance to the community. **Partners’ priority lands might be owned by organizations like another land trust, state DNR or a local park system. Our role may be different depending on the situation.

Assisted in casework related to Prisoner's Rights, Free Speech of Public Employees, and Indian Rights with an emphasis on the Indian Child Welfare Act. Also conducted client intake with the CT Civil Liberties Union.

Our Mission is to assist donors to build an enduring source of charitable assets to benefit Ripley County. A community foundation is a vehicle for people of all means to make a lasting difference in their community. The central purpose is to serve the needs and philanthropic aims of donors who wish to better their community, now and in the future. In 1990, Lilly Endowment Inc. of Indianapolis, through their GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) Initiative encouraged all counties in Indiana to create community foundations to serve their residents. The Ripley County Community Foundation, Inc. was formed in February 1997. The effort to create the Foundation was a result of the vision of a group of philanthropic minded Ripley County residents who wanted to improve the quality of life for Ripley County residents. The growth of the Foundation through the years has been encouraged not only by Lilly Endowment Inc. but by Rising Sun Regional Foundation. Both Foundations have consistently offered the Foundation opportunities for growth through their grants, training and leadership. The residents of Ripley County have responded to the Foundation by creating endowment funds and or giving to established funds to support the charitable organizations in the County and to give back to the County in a way that will forever change the County for the good of all.

ArtMix's mission is to transform the lives of people with disabilities through the creation of art. ArtMix is a non-profit arts service organization providing access to the arts for people with disabilities. ArtMix (formerly VSA Indiana) fulfills its mission through a series of arts programs led by 20+ professional Teaching Artists who provide programming in schools, community centers, hospitals, and on-site in our adaptive arts studios near downtown Indianapolis. Through its programming, ArtMix increases access, engagement, knowledge, and skills in and through the arts. Collectively, ArtMix programs serve more than 6,000 people each year. The programs create opportunities for learning, self-expression, and socialization, and increase community understanding and acceptance of people of all abilities.
