Believing in the dignity of all people, the objective of REAL Services is to assist in establishing a community in which those we serve can maintain their independence to the maximum degree possible and find meaning and satisfaction throughout their lives. To fulfill our mission, the programs we offer enhance quality of life. Additional programs provide education for individuals and families through Options Counseling, Aging and Disability Resource Center, Lunch n’ Learns, Chronic Disease Management, Medicare Counseling, Financial Literacy, and more. REAL Services is an umbrella organization for more than 20 programs that assist elderly, disabled and low-income individuals in 12 Northern Indiana County. Our programs address the needs of education, nutrition, self-sufficiency, and protection for 30,000 people in northern Indiana each year. REAL Services has three "divisions"​: Area Agency on Aging, Community Action Agency, and Alzheimer’s Services. These three divisions serve vulnerable older adults and low-income persons of all ages. The emphasis of the Area Agency on Aging is to assist older people to maintain independence as much as possible. The emphasis of the Community Action Agency is to assist low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency. Alzheimer’s Services of Northern Indiana provides support to those suffering from dementia. REAL Services is the Area Agency on Aging for the Older Americans Act which builds a network of services for older adults and the physically disabled. Community Services programs, which support single parents and low-income families, are designed to break the cycle of dependence on public assistance. TradeWind Services, LLC (TradeWind) is a US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that has provided project-based and technical support services to an array of clients since 2005. From it's earliest days, TradeWind was set up with the infrastructure of a large business and with the notion that the company would be successful if it could be flexible and adaptable. The founding vision of the company was not to specialize in one specific niche, but rather to have multiple areas of operation. As a result, TradeWind is a licensed engineering firm and construction contractor providing both staff augmentation and project based support. TradeWind possesses and active facility clearance (FOCI) and has been providing cleared personnel for more than a decade.

Family & Children’s Center is one of northern Indiana’s major non-profit human services agencies. We serve more than one thousand children and families annually throughout St. Joseph County through our early childhood and parent education and support programs. Family & Children’s Center is dedicated to strengthening the holistic health of young families through Healthy Families, The Brain Train, counseling, and parenting programs. Innovations In Learning, PC, is a multi-faceted agency. We provide intensive ABA services to children with Autism and related disorders and Behavior Management therapy to individuals in the Waiver program, Day Services for adults with disabilities as well as outpatient services for children and adults including individual and group therapy. In all areas of our work we take pride in using empirically based interventions. We develop objective and measurable goals that allow close monitoring of treatment efficacy. The Arc of Vigo County is committed to providing advocacy, parent support and training, respite services for families who have a family member at home with a developmental disability, a supported employment service for persons with developmental disabilities/diagnosis, and habilitation and personal assistance services for persons with developmental disabilities in order to facilitate the integration of all persons with developmental disabilities into all aspects of community living.

Meals on Wheels began service in 1977 in southern Lake County, Indiana as part of the Visiting Nurse Association. At that time, meals were obtained from hospitals and nursing homes and delivered to individuals in their home. As our program continued to grow, it was necessary to open a central kitchen to prepare meals for our clients. In 1993, we purchased a building in Crown Point . We outgrew the facility in 2002 when our meal count numbers grew to over 1,200 meals daily for clients living throughout Lake County and in 2006 moved to our current location.
