The FAIR Plan will also endeavor to educate the public on the availability of the FAIR Plan, to encourage the revitalization of urban neighborhoods, to make basic property insurance available in areas where discrimination or other factors make such insurance difficult to obtain, and to participate in appropriate programs to reduce the incidence of loss, particularly programs affecting insurance fraud and arson.

NEW CUMBERLAND HOLDING, LLC
NEW CUMBERLAND HOLDING, LLC
Lexington, Kentucky
1-24 employees
Cumberland Holdings, LLC, was formed by the Chernoff family to invest its capital alongside investors in income-producing real estate strategies, where the family has spent decades developing expertise. In July 2020, Cumberland celebrated its 10th Anniversary and its growing success. We started with the $5.1 million acquisition of City View Apartments in Portland, Oregon. It was sold 5 years later for $13.3 million, generating investors a 345% return. During our first 10 years, we acquired 20 properties in California, Oregon, and Washington, and have sold 7 of our properties. Today, we have over 200 active private investors, with more than 70% of our investors engaging in multiple investments. Our 50 years of combined experience brings a knowledge of professional property and renovation management. Our objective is to provide our investors with predictable quarterly cash distributions from property operations. Profits are generated from the sale or refinance of properties, which are realized as property value is created. Cumberland targets investments in value-added, multi-family, and mixed-use commercial real estate in several West Coast markets. We seek to purchase properties that suffer from absentee ownership and poor management. Our strategy is to develop a capital improvement plan to enhance the curb appeal and marketability of properties’ preexisting conditions. Cumberland’s Officers oversee our professional property managers and development firms. We believe that acquiring value-added real estate in markets with dependable tenant demand drivers and significant barriers to new development provides the best opportunity for increasing cash flow and attractive risk-adjusted returns. Cumberland's President is Graham Chernoff, our Principal is Scott Chernoff, our Chief operating Officer is Josie Chernoff, and our Director of Acquisitions is Harry C. Arthur.
