MAPLEHURST FARMS, INC.
Rochelle, Illinois
51-200 employees
James Carmichael was the first to farm Maplehurst in 1909 with 80 acres north of Rochelle on Route 64. Maplehurst (which was named for the many maple trees which lined the property at one time) has seen unprecedented changes in agriculture, technology, politics, and much else. The Maple Hurst Stock Farm evolved from a small grain and livestock farm into a large grain, fertilizer, and trucking facility. As with all other things, the caliber of the people who have owned, staffed, and operated Maplehurst over the years have made all of the difference in ensuring its current success. Today LD's children and grandchildren help operate the thriving agribusiness. Maplehurst Farms now has multiple locations to serve you all across north central Illinois. Maplehurst Farms Mission The Maplehurst mission is to daily challenge ourselves to serve the needs of the producer in a manner in which they want to be served. We seek to approach each day with a focus on being modern and progressive in our services while serving our customers with old-fashioned values and work ethics. Honesty, integrity, and fairness with the producer and with ourselves will put us on the leading edge of a commitment to total quality and excellence. Thank you for letting us serve you. NORTHERN PARTNERS COOP
NORTHERN PARTNERS COOP
Mendota, Illinois
51-200 employees
As a homegrown, locally owned full-service cooperative, Northern Partners Cooperative (NPC) has been rooted in the community from the very beginning. Our goal is to continually work to grow customer value and cooperative strength within the community we all share. NPC is a business owned and controlled by the people who use it, and operates for the mutual benefit of the patrons. NPC was organized to strengthen the bargaining power of its owners, to maintain access to competitive markets for the products produced by its owners, and to manage risk of its owners. NPC returns earnings on a patronage basis. Such patronage dividends help boost the income of members directly or by reducing the effective cost of the goods and services provided. NPC is governed by a board of directors elected by our members - based on one person one vote rather than on the basis of shares or percent ownership as in other types of businesses. This provides for a unique accountability. We know that a business or farming operation requires hard work and dedication. That's why we take pride in having knowledgeable, hardworking employees that are dedicated to being your most valued partner; helping to reach new levels of success.
