Crystal Lake, Illinois

Althoff Industries was founded in 1961 by James Althoff to service residential heating and air-conditioning customers in the growing Northwest Chicago suburbs. Over time, our dedication to total customer satisfaction has continued to fuel our growth, leading us to form long term relationships with some of the largest institutions and manufacturing companies in the area. In the 1990’s, we added our Building Automation Group to design and install computerized HVAC control systems. CORROSION MONITORING SERVICES, INC.
CORROSION MONITORING SERVICES, INC.
West Chicago, Illinois
50-99 employees
Corrosion Monitoring Services, Inc. (CMS) has been helping its customers assess, monitor, and repair air heaters since 1982. For nearly four decades, CMS personnel have inspected, repaired or rebuilt thousands of tubular air heaters (TAH) and other industrial equipment in North America and beyond its borders. In the process, the company has established a reputation for delivering quality products and services, on-time and on-budget. CMS offers a wide range of nondestructive inspection options for tubular air heaters, air to air heat exchangers, dust collectors, bag houses, gas/air ducts and ash hoppers that can identify existing tube failures and suggest both short term and long term repair solutions. Some of the many options include acoustic eye, pressure testing, and high angle rope access inspections to check difficult-to-reach or inaccessible areas. CMS Performance Services’ proprietary tools are designed to evaluate the impacts of current operations problems and provide opportunities for improvement based on proposed repairs or replacement. These resources can help evaluate the impacts of air heater performance related issues and provide technical estimations based on industry-accepted methods to help justify the cost of repairs. CMS repair methods are driven by the company’s solutions-oriented philosophy. The goal is not only to return equipment to as-built condition, but to apply its proprietary technologies to improve performance and service life, so that customers are able to realize measurable improvements. In addition, CMS offers alternatives to get customer back online quickly, like in-situ and partial tube repair. If air heaters aren't an issue, mobile teams can provide general mechanical maintenance, such as repair of expansion joints, mechanical dust collectors, and gas ducts, all performed by highly skilled staff with safety training. For more information about CMS and its rapid response inspection, repair, and performance services, visit cmsinc.us.
