Hoerr as a concrete construction company, our stamp can still be seen on many driveways and sidewalks. In 1957 P.J. Hoerr was incorporated and transitioned into general commercial construction. Now into our 110th year of operation, PJ Hoerr has become a diverse, multi-office commercial builder performing approximately $130 million of work annually.

Since 1938 clients have entrusted their construction projects to Helmkamp Construction Company. During that time, we have built an impeccable record of safety, service, and integrity. We specialize in self-performing excavations, concrete foundations and slabs, structural steel, rough and finish carpentry, labs, millwright equipment installations, and laser alignment/precision leveling tasks. We perform work in the following private markets: building, chemical, data/communication, educational, financial, food & beverage, healthcare, manufacturing, metals/steel, pharmaceutical, power, and refining. Helmkamp has national capabilities and is qualified to do business in a number of states. Our main marketing emphasis is placed on Illinois and Missouri, particularly in the Southern Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri regions. However, due to customer requests, we have experienced recent ventures in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
