Our Mission La Casa's mission is to provide opportunities for low-income individuals to achieve full social and economic participation in society, with emphasis on the Hispanic population. La Casa de Esperanza, Inc. began in 1966 as History Builders, a small, high quality childcare center, whose goal was to create a smooth transition for children living in a totally Spanish-speaking environment, to the Public School District's English speaking environment. In 2013, over 40 years later, La Casa continues to grow, with a passion for positive change. Since 1966, La Casa has expanded and now offers five fundamental programs. Our Education Programs include a thriving Early Childhood Education and School Age Education Program for the children and youth in our community. Workforce Development provides comprehensive employment assistance to low-income people seeking economic self-sufficiency. La Casa Village I and II offers affordable and private apartments to low-income seniors and disabled individuals. The Weatherization Program identifies energy waste and provides cost-effective, energy saving measures and education to low-income residential households. La Casa Clinica specializes in mental health and alcohol and drug treatment programs. La Casa de Esperanza is a community-based organization committed to providing opportunities for those within our community to achieve full social and economic participation in society, with an emphasis on the Hispanic population. La Casa helps more than 20,000 individuals and families annually through a variety of programs and services to create positive change in the community. Our mission is to support the independence and well-being of older adults, enhance their dignity and self respect, and promote their participation in and contribution toward all aspects of community life. Since 1956 we have helped older adults remain in their homes with independence, dignity and connection to their communities. Beginning at the Winnetka Community House, North Shore Senior Center has always offered a combination of services which include recreational/educational programs, volunteer opportunities and support services for seniors. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, with highly-trained social workers, counselors and professionals on staff. Together, this team provides programs and events for active older adults, as well as information and outreach services for families. North Shore Senior Center's social workers also provide assistance to seniors at hospitals, park districts, senior centers and senior living communities throughout the metropolitan area. As a means of furthering its mission, North Shore Senior Center provides many outlets for intellectual and social growth. At the Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr. Campus in Northfield we offer classes, lectures and clubs highlight the arts, music, languages, humanities, current events, politics, travel, exercise and fitness.

VIP Services offers a dynamic range of programs, services, and supports to help a diverse group of people with differing abilities to live a life characterized by dignity and purpose. Our core programs include Work/Employment Skills Training, Community Employment, and Day Services. We operate a large fleet of accessible vehicles to transport seniors and people with disabilities around Walworth County and beyond, along with Wal-to-Wal, a shared ride public transportation within Walworth County. Through State contract, we clean and maintain all Rest Areas within Walworth and Rock counties as well as some in Dane and Waukesha counties. Since 1970, we have helped thousands of people to live and work as valued members of our communities.

Goldie Floberg has over a 100 year history of providing care, protection, help, and friendship to those who don’t always have a voice to advocate for themselves. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities in communities surrounding Rockford, Illinois. We want to enhance the lives of the people we serve by giving them the opportunities and ability to make choices that people often overlook on a daily basis. Everyday, the people we serve create dreams and passions and we help to make that become a reality.

Community Action is a not for profit organization offering myriad programs to fight poverty in Rock and Walworth Counties. At Community Action we provide access and opportunity for those we serve and those who support our efforts. Through innovative programs and strong community partnerships we eliminate barriers, establishing clear pathways to economic self-reliance. Community Action develops and implements a broad range of services across our two-county area including: child care, pre-school and school age programs, affordable housing and housing counseling services, youth programs, weatherization, community organizing and development, a homeless shelter, health care, and the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
