The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, believes a healthy community starts with food. Empowering Community Independence The Chicago Lighthouse is the most comprehensive agency serving people who are blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veterans in the United States. Each of our 40 programs and services are designed to help individuals of all ages, races, income levels, and abilities reach the same goal: to live as confidently and independently as possible. Our programs include: •Comprehensive Low Vision Services that provide low vision diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and assistive technology for people of all ages and backgrounds; •Employment Services, empowering individuals with disabilities and Veterans to gain the skills they need to support themselves and improve their quality of life; •Education that provides children, adolescents, and young adults with vision impairments and often other disabilities reach developmental and social milestones; and •Advocacy and Independent Living Programs, that enable clients to thrive in an accessible, inclusive community. In addition, The Lighthouse has developed several Social Enterprise businesses in the areas of Customer Service, Digital Accessibility Consulting, Manufacturing and Shipping that serve the dual purpose of providing our clients with accessible, inclusive jobs and generating revenue to support our clinical and social service programs.

Friend Family Health Center, Inc. (“Friend Family”) was started with the development of the Friend Family Foundation by Berman and Hannah Friend in the 1930s. Nearly 70 years later, Friend Family applied for and was designated as a federally qualified health center (FQHC) to continue to ensure access to quality care in medically underserved areas. Since then, we have opened several service sites to deliver effective care to our communities, regardless of patient income. Today, Friend Family Health Center’s delivery sites provide care services to over 30,000 patients on an annual basis. We are proud to be recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a designation that demonstrates our commitment to improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of healthcare delivery. Although Friend Family has grown significantly, both in number of service delivery sites and patients, we remain true to our founding philosophy: to provide more medically underserved and low-income individuals and families access to high quality health services while alleviating disparities in health care outcomes.

Suburban Access provides individual service coordination and case management for individuals with intellectual disabilities in south and west suburban Cook County, Illinois. Programs include the adult DD program, Child and Family Connections Early Intervention, and Early Intervention monitoring.

Cornerstone Services provides progressive, comprehensive services to people with disabilities promoting choice, dignity, and the opportunity to live and work in the community. Since 1969 Cornerstone has been a leader in meeting the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illnesses, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. Cornerstone is licensed by state and federal agencies. We are an Illinois-based, not-for-profit organization which provides employment, community support, residential and behavioral health services through four program departments.

Individual Advocacy Group is a CARF accredited not-for-profit organization dedicated to community- based supports and personal advocacy for individuals with special needs. IAG provides training programs, behavioral and individual therapies, community- based residential programs, advocacy and case management for individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, brain injuries or physical/medical conditions. All of IAG’s programs are community- based and all residential programs are family scale of four or fewer people using neighborhood housing and apartments. IAG provides its services in 21 counties in Illinois from Chicago to the Quad Cities to Springfield, as well as the District of Columbia and Maryland. IAG believes that all individuals deserve and should receive respect regardless of their history, type of disability or severity of specialized needs. Furthermore, all individuals must be assured of their endowed rights of community participation and personal independence shared by all members of society. Each individual can meet his or her personal goals, follow personal interests, and find personal success and happiness. Accordingly, people with disabilities can achieve personal success and happiness if given the chance and the support. Regardless of the impediments any person with disabilities may have encountered along the way in life, their chance is now and the opportunity is here to find self respect, develop a positive self image and achieve personal goals.

From it's earliest days, TradeWind was set up with the infrastructure of a large business and with the notion that the company would be successful if it could be flexible and adaptable.
