After receiving approval to proceed from both the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the new bank met its capital needs in a matter of months. The Board of Century Bank decided on a headquarters site to be located at 215 East Main Street in Cartersville, demonstrating the bank’s commitment to Bartow. Land was acquired in Calhoun, Georgia for the first non-Bartow County branch office, and in March 2007, the Calhoun Office was opened at 415 West Belmont Drive.
