Macuch Steel Products, Inc. is a family run company, originally founded in 1948 as an ornamental iron fabricator, by John Macuch and his sons Edward, Morton and Edwin. In the early 1950’s we expanded into structural steel and the 1960’s brought further expansion when we added rebar fabrication as well as the sale of stock material. Beginning in the late 1970’s and through the 1980’s the rebar division expe¬rienced the most growth with the addition of concrete embeds to our product line. In the 1990’s Macuch Steel Products, Inc. saw tremendous growth of both stock material sales and structural steel fabrication. In 2001, Em-Co Metal Products, Inc. was purchased to augment Macuch Steel’s fabrication capabilities. Shewmake Steel Erection, Inc. was organized in 2002 to facilitate an “in house” alternative to erecting Macuch Steel’s fabricated structural steel. The Company founded Lavonia Stair & Rail, Inc. in 2004 to provide an “in house” alternative to the supply of miscellaneous steel products. Lavonia Stair & Rail was merged into Southeastern Stair & Rail, LLC in 2009 to, among other things, personify a more regional market. 2007 brought about the formation of Macuch Structural Steel Detailing, In House, again providing an “in house” alternative, this time for the detailing of structural and miscellaneous steel. Macuch Steel Products, Inc. and its affiliates (known as The Family of Steel) can now handle structural steel projects from inception to completion, providing The Family of Steel with a solid foundation for our future.

Fulghum Industries has provided quality equipment to the forest products industry since 1956. Our organization has endeavored to meet the needs of the forest products market by constantly paying attention to detail, quality and innovations in technology. Our first product, the rosserhead debarker was the result of the lumber industry’s need for effective debarking to convert slabs and edgings into usable wood fiber. This simple machine has forever changed the operation of sawmills and pulp mills alike by providing economical furnish from what was once waste. Soon after the first rosserhead, Fulghum realized the industry’s need for a high quality chipper. Today, Fulghum chippers are recognized worldwide as among the very best in the industry. In the early years that followed, continued product development resulted in the introduction of a succession of saws, screens, conveyors, and loaders—among others. In the mid 1970’s, Fulghum recognized a need to revamp its product line. This heralded the development and manufacture of the Fulghum drum debarker and log handling crane. From this beginning our organization has grown to provide a diverse product line including equipment ranging in size and purpose from forty-eight inch chippers to one hundred and seventy foot radius log handling cranes. Through the years, our face has changed, but our commitment to quality and customers service remains our steady core focus.
