Our Story: Founded by Mike and Travis Rabren in 2000, Rabren General Contractors (“RGC”) began as a small General Contractor in Auburn, AL. In 2003, Matt Rabren, current President & CEO joined the ownership ranks of the company. All three men shared a common purpose and desire to build a construction company with the same principles that they were taught growing up: “Treat everyone as you would want to be treated, work hard, be honest, be fair, and get the job done right.” Based on those principles, through a results driven mentality and exceptional leadership, RGC has developed into one of the most reputable, multi-service General Contractors in the state of Alabama. LG “Jack” Joyner started working full time in the construction business in 1955 for W.O. Kilgore in Carrollton Georgia. In 1966 he went to Key Construction Company in Bremen, Georgia. Shortly after, in 1968, Jack and Joe Guy Started Joe N Guy in Atlanta, Georgia. Jack traveled frequently while he was employed at Joe N. Guy and he often dreamed of working close to home. After 31 years at Joe N. Guy he decided to make that dream a reality by selling his part of Joe N Guy to Joe Guy and starting J&R Construction & Development. He enlisted his brother, Lynn Joyner, and a handful of superintendents to start the business. On September 25th, 1986 J&R Construction & Development, Inc received its first business license. J&R’s new office was a 12×20 office trailer in Carrollton, Georgia. Jack, Lynn, and a handful of superintendents started on their first of many construction projects. Within a few years J&R Construction had not only grown in revenue, numbers, and space, but also as a well known and respected general contractor in their community. J&R Construction is still run by Jack and Lynn Joyner today and employs over 60 full time employees.

Bailey-Harris Construction Company, Inc. was formed by Jack Bailey and Allen Harris in 1979. Both men were like minded and agreed to found the company on integrity, wisdom, hard work and customer satisfaction. The partnership grew steadily for 12 years and in 1991, Mr. Harris became the sole owner of Bailey-Harris Construction. While the ownership of the company changed in 1991, the original vision and principles of Bailey and Harris continue to form the foundation of the Company. Customer service and continued persistence on the success of each project have allowed the firm to escalate its capabilities from the first project of $214,000 to a recent project of $100,000,000. The growth of our repeat business is founded in the insistence of company leadership to be responsible, responsive and a trusted member of the construction community, as we stand behind our work.
