Venture Construction Company was founded in 1969, specializing in restaurants and drug stores. Venture’s work is coordinated through our seven branch offices located in Greensboro, NC, Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN, Memphis, TN, Richmond, VA, and Kansas City, KS with corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia. The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) was established in 2003 as a research center at the Economics Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since then, it has grown into a global network of researchers who conduct randomized evaluations to test and improve the effectiveness of programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. Our mission is to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence. We do this through research, policy outreach, and training across seven regional offices worldwide.
