KUBOTA MANUFACTURING OF AMERICA CORPORATION
KUBOTA MANUFACTURING OF AMERICA CORPORATION
Gainesville, Georgia
500+ employees
Established in 1988, Kubota Manufacturing of America Corporation (KMA) is headquartered in Gainesville, Georgia, a thriving industrial and agricultural community located on Lake Sidney Lanier and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. KMA typically employs over 1,000 local area residents. When KMA began operations in 1988 the first products manufactured were tractor implements such as backhoes and front loaders. As Kubota’s North American production base for tractors, KMA began producing the T Series of lawn tractors for grass cutting in 1994. Over the years, KMA would introduce several additional tractor products including the G Series lawn and garden tractor, the BX Series general-use subcompact tractor, and the GR Series lawn tractor. KMA further expanded its line of products in 2001 with the introduction of the ZD Series zero turn mid-mount mower and in 2002 with the BX22 All-Purpose Residential Tractor. In 2004 KMA entered the utility vehicle market with the introduction of the RTV Series Rough Terrain Vehicle . Due to our rapid growth, in September 2005 a new company called Kubota Industrial Equipment Corporation (KIE) was opened a short distance away in Jefferson, Georgia. KIE now manufactures all tractor implements and performs reassembly of Kubota tractors built in Japan for sale in the U.S. markets. As illustrated by these activities, for over 20 years KMA has played an instrumental role in driving growth in Kubota’s tractor business in North America while expanding the scale of its own business operations. KMA markets its products not only in the United States but also exports them to Canada, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Japan. Similarly, KMA has expanded its procurement activities beyond North America to include sources in Canada, Mexico, India, Europe, South America and Asia. By adopting this approach, Kubota is carrying out activities truly befitting a Kubota overseas base.
