➣ Spearheaded the complex negotiations of a large, property and business interruption claim related to the devastation from a 2018 category five hurricane (Michael), resulting in a successful $1M claim.
➣ Drove workers’ compensation losses from $250,000 down to $51,000 in FY’16, $25,000 in FY’17, and $38,000 in FY’18 that included reducing claims by more than 75% in the first year.
➣ Instrumental in lowering insurance premiums from $650,000 in FY’15 to $340,000 in FY’18.
➣ Coordinated and led a large Federal Department of Labor audit that was settled for $500,000.
➣ Reduced workers’ compensation mod from 1.71 to 1.37; projected mod for FY’20 is 1.22.
➣ Established, implemented, and administered a monthly random drug screen program for employees.
➣ Reformed the entire new hire onboarding process to include drug testing, a corporate safety statement, medical questionnaire, detailed job descriptions, and new job training programs.
➣ Created and managed monthly reports of loss incidents, financial impact, and corrective actions.
➣ Teamed up with all department managers to consistently evolve and improve employee training, safety, and to communicate new company initiatives.
