CEA is the largest advocate for students and public education in Connecticut. Our members include preschool through grade 12 teachers in Connecticut public schools as well as retired teachers and college students preparing to become teachers.

Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to more than 25,000 seriously ill children and family members annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in 40 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast.

The HGF has several flagship programs including PJ Library, JCamp 180, Life & Legacy, Voices & Visions, and Western Mass Grants. The project aims to inspire Jewish conversation, instill pride, and spark creativity among diverse audiences and ages • JCamp180 works to strengthen the infrastructure of Jewish camps throughout North America by providing mentor services in strategic planning, board development, fundraising, and technology • The Life & Legacy program offers an incentivized path to help communities secure meaningful after-lifetime legacy gifts for the future of their Jewish communal organizations • The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation (HGCF) provides philanthropic support primarily in Western Massachusetts. Programs include the Entrepreneurship Initiative, Local Farmer Awards, Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Awards, and ener-G-save.

Riverside Industries, Inc., was founded in June 1968 by a small group of bold and progressive individuals who sought a better life for their family members living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, Riverside employs nearly 130 people (direct support professionals, van drivers, occupational and physical therapists, and administrative staff) and provides individualized services to over 160 clients throughout Western Massachusetts. Riverside’s core program combines day habilitation, life skill development, job skill training, transition services for students beginning at age 14, and individual or group employment options for adults living with a wide range of disabilities. Riverside’s mission is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to maximize their opportunities for acceptance, independence, personal growth, and employment throughout their lives.

Mystic Aquarium is a division of Sea Research Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and is counted among the nation’s leading aquariums with more than 300 species and an extensive collection of marine mammals, including New England’s only beluga whales. Mystic Aquarium has been a pioneer in offering guests a variety of up close encounters with a wide range of marine animals. The mission of Mystic Aquarium is to inspire people to care for and protect our ocean environment through conservation, education and research.

Incorporated on May 20, 1974, the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut, Inc. (AASCC) was the first Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Connecticut. AASCC serves older adults and individuals with disabilities in Ansonia, Bethany, Branford, Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Derby, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, East Haven, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Hamden, Higganum, Killingworth, Lyme, Madison, Meriden, Middlefield, Middletown, Milford, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Orange, Oxford, Portland, Seymour, Shelton, Wallingford, West Haven, Westbrook, and Woodbridge. Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) were established under the Older Americans Act (OAA) to respond to the needs of older adults and their caregivers. AAAs advocate and assist in the development and enhancement of comprehensive, coordinated, community-based services and systems for older adults. AASCC's mission is to empower adults to remain as independent and engaged as possible within their communities through advocacy, information, and services.

For over sixty years, SARAH Inc.'s mission has been to enhance skills and transform the lives of children and adults with differing abilities throughout Connecticut. SARAH Inc.’s high-quality services include Adult Services Employment Programs, Enrichment Day Programs, and KIDSTEPS Early Intervention Programs. The organization provides support to more than 1,800 children and adults each year.

The Arc of Litchfield County (LARC) is a 50-year old, nonprofit agency in Northwest Connecticut founded by families to support loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Guided by a vision of Community for All, LARC promotes individual empowerment, choice, respect, and dignity. On a daily basis, LARC supports 220 individuals with disabilities throughout Northwest Connecticut. Services include residential group homes, in-home supports, transportation, school to community transition, day support, and employment programs. LARC’s Social Enrichment program, funded solely by private donations and fundraisers provides critical respite and recreational opportunities for 120 such as group outings, social gatherings, and Special Olympics. LARC’s Camp MOE program provides an integrated day camp setting for 300 children to develop friendships, leadership skills, responsibility for self, and respect for others.

Helix Human Services provides trauma-informed therapeutic and educational services to diverse children and families, building the foundation for lifelong success at home, school, and in the community.
