Nurse-Family Partnership®, a maternal and early childhood health program, fosters long-term success for first-time moms, their babies, and society. Nurse-Family Partnership's maternal health program introduces vulnerable first-time parents to caring maternal and child health nurses. This program allows nurses to deliver the support first-time moms need to have a healthy pregnancy, become knowledgeable and responsible parents, and provide their babies with the best possible start in life. North Metro is one of 20 Community Centered Boards serving people with developmental disabilities in Colorado. North Metro serves as the single point of entry for services to eligible people in Adams County (not including the city of Aurora). Unfortunately, the State of Colorado does not automatically provide services for all persons that meet the eligibility requirements. People who apply after graduating from high school, move to Colorado from another state, or wait until they are older to request services will be assigned to a waiting list. Funding for services is provided by the State of Colorado and the Federal government through Medicaid Waivers. Services are available in two categories for adults. Comprehensive Services provide an out-of-the-home living arrangement, medical care, transportation, day and employment services based on each individual's level of need. Support Services provide a choice of activities and supports within a specific level of funding for each person. Other support services are available for children - Early Intervention, Children's Extensive Support Services and Family Support. North Metro is a community partner with other organizations that provide care and services for persons who meet eligibility requirements. Adams County Social Services, Community Reach, our County Commissioners, School Districts, and the Adams County Housing Authority help extend services by working with and supporting North Metro. In addition, a variety of Service Agencies are available to consumers through the Community Centered Board for Adams County. Most importantly, North Metro provides strong advocacy for people with developmental disabilities. We are committed to protection of human rights, respectful relationships and individualized care.

Energy Outreach Colorado is the only statewide non-profit that raises funds to help low-income Coloradans afford home energy and remain warm and safe in their homes. Dental Lifeline Network coordinates donated, comprehensive dental treatment for individuals with disabilities, who are elderly or medically fragile, and who cannot seek the dental care they need.. Since 1985, more than 120,000 of our nation’s most vulnerable individuals have received $380 million in life-changing, comprehensive dental care through our flagship program, Donated Dental Services (DDS). Approximately 15,000 dentists and 3,500 dental labs currently volunteer for DDS.

Mile High Early Learning (MHEL) is the largest and oldest provider of subsidized quality early care and education in Denver. Our mission is to enable all children in Denver to succeed in school by providing resources and education to inspire a lifetime of learning and self-sufficiency. Using a Montessori inspired approach, MHEL helps the children it serves by fostering in them social competency, a habit of concentration, initiative and persistence, pride in the physical environment and a life-long joy of learning—all qualities which engender school success and responsible and engaged citizens. Our early learning centers across Denver serve more than 500 children each day. We also operate two drop-in centers in partnership with Denver Human Services and Denver Courts to provide a safe and healthy setting for their clients’ children. At our Northeast Learning Center, we have community education and outreach programs for Family, Friend and Neighbor care providers as well as parents.
