Five generations later, the Wilbur Ranch continues to be a leader in California agriculture with over 3,000 acres of prunes and walnuts. The cornerstone of the Wilbur family’s farming philosophy is good stewardship of the land for future generations. Founded in 1992, Wilbur Packing was launched to ensure that our commitment to excellence in food quality and safety is carried through to the end-user. Because of the vertically integrated structure of our operations, Wilbur Packing Company closely controls the production.

The City of Yuba City was established in 1849 and incorporated in 1908 and provides a variety of municipal services. These include but are not limited to Police, Park, Parks & Rec, Public Works, Water, Waster Water, Economic Development and Finance. Yuba City is home to Sunsweet Prunes and a variety of other agriculturall based businesses and as such is known as Northern California's Agricultural Hub. Historically the City has also been called the "Peach Bowl of the World"​ and the"Prune Capital of the World."​
