North Coast Opportunities, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit Community Action Agency serving Lake & Mendocino Counties, as well as parts of Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Humboldt & Del Norte counties. We believe in building strong, compassionate, and vibrant communities where all people have an opportunity to participate, contribute and provide for themselves and their loved ones. NCO provides early childhood development and family resiliency services, adult caregiver support, robust case management and resource referral, and programs that increase access to affordable childcare, safe recreation, healthy food, secure housing, and leadership training. We are the largest non-governmental agency in Lake and Mendocino Counties providing emergency preparedness and fire response services. Our Volunteer Network program spans 6 counties and provides opportunities for adults to get involved in their communities. We facilitate cooperation and partnerships among organizations and groups that share a common goal with us.

We provide services in child and youth development, parenting education and personal development, family and community violence prevention, intervention, and treatment, and health & wellness. Tapestry Family Services is a community-based nonprofit organization formed to develop and provide programs and services that support and advance the health and well-being of children with special needs and their familes. As the name implies, our programs are designed to weave an array of services around children and families. Like a tapestry, the service threads are linked and related, with the specific pattern of services designed to meet the unique needs of each individual child. A major goal for Tapestry is to enable local children with emotional challenges to remain in our community and thrive here. Our services are coordinated to form an integrated program of care and treatment for children and a high level of support for families - foster families, adoptive families and birth families.
