The mission of the Community Foundation is to inspire philanthropy and be a catalyst for strengthening communities throughout Monterey County. We partner with individuals, families and businesses to create charitable funds to help them realize their philanthropic vision. We have granted more than $137 million to hundreds of nonprofits in the areas of arts and culture, community and social services, health, education, animal welfare, environment, and historic preservation. We provide resources for people to do good. We're your local community foundation in Santa Cruz County, California. We have total assets over $135 million and awarded over $5.8 million in grants in 2017. We connect with donors, professional advisors and nonprofit leaders to provide them with the resources and tools they need. In 2010, we opened the Jack & Peggy Baskin Center for Philanthropy, which received Gold Level LEED certification for the U.S. Green Building Council.

What began as a golf game between friends in 1937, Monterey Peninsula Foundation has consistently hosted world-class golf charity events, using the proceeds to power positive community change across Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties. Our mission, and everything we do, centers on golf and giving. Monterey Peninsula Foundation stages two celebrated golf tournaments: the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA TOUR and the PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach, a PGA TOUR Champions event. Each year, the community investments that stem each of these golf tournaments support hundreds of nonprofits working to impact thousands of lives in the Central Coast region in California.

Responsible for the writing and implementation of natural resource management plans projects in a diversity of large wilderness landscapes in Monterey County. Manages habitats among a matrix of complex ecosystems that include Big Sur, Carmel Valley, Sierra de Salinas, Arroyo Seco, and coastal dunes in the Monterey Bay Dune Complex, using integrated management that includes ranching, agriculture, prescribed fire, and other management tools. Writes grants for all projects to implement under the auspices of management plans. Also serves as the GIS coordinator for the Big Sur Land Trust.

The California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits) is the voice for California's nonprofit community. We are a statewide policy alliance of more than 10,000 organizations, representing and promoting California's growing nonprofit sector. The mission of Our City Forest is to cultivate a green and healthy San José metropolis by engaging community members in the appreciation, protection, growth and maintenance of our urban ecosystem, especially our urban forest. OCF has planted over 75,000 trees across San Jose and has maintained a 93% tree survival rate since 1994.

Local, vital and multifaceted, Grey Bears promotes good nutrition, activity and social connection as the perfect recipe for healthy aging. Providing leadership in all aspects of a sustainable nonprofit with a $3.5 million annual budget.
