Options for Southern Oregon, Inc. is an Oregon non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation based in Grants Pass since 1981. Options serves as the Community Mental Health Program for Josephine County and provides additional services, such as our Integrated Primary Medical Care program - Hillside Medical - for all members of the community. Mission Statement: Options for Southern Oregon serves people of all ages in our community who have mental health needs. Our holistic approach addresses housing, advocacy, community integration, crisis intervention, therapy, co-occurring issues, education, work, and economic well-being. We foster the development of mental and emotional health in children, adults, and families, and support our clients’ participation as respected members of the community. Inherent in our approach is the recognition of each person's strengths and capacity to grow, and the belief that we can be each other's teachers.

Our clients are children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We provide the supports which allow them to thrive at home and in the community. OUR MISSION IS TO: Empower and enhance the lives of the children and adults we serve through respect for their preferences and choices. We serve the entire state of Oregon with the highest level of service and professionalism. The supports we provide are uniquely structured around each person’s interests, preferences and needs, allowing our clients with I/DD to thrive at home and in the community.

We collaborate with young people, families, and communities across Oregon to provide intensive mental health services and instill hope. We understand and value mental and emotional wellness, and aim to provide opportunities for understanding, healing, and growth in safe and stable environments where every client can achieve excellence.

Since 1975, Southern Oregon Aspire supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Josephine and Jackson Counties. We focus on their "abilities"​ and not their "disabilities"​. We currently support over 150 individuals in residential housing, community employment placement & training, and daily community activities. Our mission, "Inspiring Unlimited Opportunities for People to Create the Life They Choose"​ is accomplished on a daily basis by caring, compassionate staff members that continually strive to make the difference and in turn, whose lives are positively impacted by those we support and the lives that are changed.
