At Marin Humane, we transform lives. It might be a small transformation, like a family that adopts its first four-legged friend. Or it could be big — like a child with autism coming out of his shell after participating in our Jumping for Joy program or a frightened dog who learns to trust people again after a life of neglect. We shelter animals in need, healing them when they’re sick and finding forever homes when they’re ready. We help more than 10,000 domestic animals and wildlife each year through rescue, adoptions, foster care, behavior and training, humane education, pet assistance for people in need, lost-and-found pet services, low-cost clinics, and more. We’re also responsible for 24/7 animal protection and rescue in Marin County, California. This means we are responsible for upholding county and municipal animal services ordinances through a decades-long contract with the County. Our Animal Services Officers stop abuse and neglect, reunite lost pets with their worried families, and rescue injured wildlife. A 2008 grand jury report praised Marin Humane’s dual role as animal services and nonprofit animal shelter. The report concluded that Marin Humane “is an important community asset, and the citizens, pets, and wildlife of Marin are better off for it.” We’re a local, independent organization and not a chapter or affiliate of any national organization. The organization's mission is to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. To accomplish this mission, the Animal Legal Defense Fund files high-impact lawsuits to protect animals from harm, provides free legal assistance and training to prosecutors, supports tough animal protection legislation and fights harmful legislation, and provides resources and opportunities to law students and professionals to advance the emerging field of animal law. Sonoma Land Trust conserves scenic, natural, agricultural and open land for the future of Sonoma County by: -Developing long term land protection strategies, -Promoting private and public funding for land conservation, -Acquiring land and conservation easements, -Practicing stewardship, including the restoration of conservation properties, and -Promoting a sense of place and a land ethic through activities, education and outreach. Sonoma Land Trust is a local, nonprofit organization funded largely by membership contributions. The Land Trust works closely with private landowners, the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, and other public agencies at all levels of government, nonprofit partners and foundations. Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin has been serving youth for over 75 years, since 1946. Many alumni fondly remember their days at the Barbieri Boxing Club in Healdsburg which became the first Club in the County. The Synod of the Pacific is a mid council within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). The Synod is currently made up of: 11 Presbyteries, 464 Churches + 20 new Church developments, 114,210 members. Its primary role is "to be a Mission Support Synod"​. Inquiring Systems Inc. (ISI) supports and develops organizations working to make an impact at the Systems level – moving us forward into the Regenerative Future. ISI envisions a coming paradigm when human civilization will again be aligned with the ways of nature– in balance with wellbeing for all life. We support moving beyond the existing paradigm of capitalistic extraction and into the realm of whole systems thinking. ISI provides full service fiscal sponsorship services to nonprofits working in the Regenerative and Sustainability realms. We offer the 501c3 legal status necessary to accept tax-exempt donations and grant funding, and the administrative services associated with having 501c3 status.
