Children's Law Center of California (CLC) represents children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned that come under the protection of the Los Angeles, Sacramento, or Placer County Juvenile Dependency Court systems. Children's Law Center was created by the Superior Court in 1990 to serve as appointed counsel for these Los Angeles youth. In July of 2011 we opened our doors in Sacramento County and now serve as appointed counsel for all abused and neglected children in both Los Angeles and Sacramento counties. With a combined staff of nearly 600 lawyers, paralegals, and investigators, CLC represents all of the 25,000 children under the jurisdiction of these dependency courts. CLC attorneys are committed to excellence in child advocacy and appear on behalf of children in day-to-day dependency proceedings. We also provide representation in a host of related hearings that seek to ensure the well being and future success of each child. CLC is often seen at the forefront of much needed local, state and national policy change and system reform.

Special Service for Groups (SSG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community-based solutions to the social and economic issues facing those in greatest need. In its 66 year history, SSG has evolved into a model organization designed to provide service to diverse groups with maximum efficiency and impact. This is achieved by developing and managing programs that serve our many communities by encouraging their involvement and self-sufficiency. We believe that the needs of groups and individuals cross traditional ethnic, racial, and other cultural boundaries. SSG serves as a bridge between people with common needs to identify ways to pool resources for the greater good of all. Today, SSG operates over 20 human service divisions that offer a wide scope of services that include: Mental and behavioral health treatment, homeless services, HIV treatment and prevention, occupational therapy, obesity prevention, environmental justice projects and older adult services.

Sycamores, formerly known as Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, is a highly respected mental health and welfare agency with 10 locations throughout Southern California. Since 1902 Sycamores has been investing in people. Today the agency provides innovative and effective programs and services for children, youth, young adults, and families facing serious life challenges, impacting nearly 16,000 lives annually. Recognized for its care and treatment of abused, neglected and abandoned children, ChildNet’s “Continuum of Care” services include: Foster Care, Adoptions, Wraparound and Mental Health programs. By providing meaningful assistance, our families are able to stabilize from a crisis situation, and with individualized support, they can establish normalcy and structure for their once broken family. Since 1904, Children's Bureau (www.all4kids.org) has been a nonprofit leader in protecting vulnerable children through prevention, treatment and advocacy. The agency is unique in that it focuses on three key areas for creating impact: strengthening families & communities with direct services & programs, helping other organizations with innovative tools & training, and impacting communities & transforming systems with best practices to improve community outcomes. Children’s Bureau helps 40,000 children and parents each year throughout Southern California with services that include school readiness, parenting classes, family resource centers, support groups, mental health counseling, foster care and foster-adoption and more. Crystal Stairs, Inc. is one of the largest private, nonprofit child care and child development corporations in California. It was incorporated in 1980 to provide service, research and advocacy in the fields of child care, child development and family well being. Crystal Stairs employs over 350 people in its operation of state and federally funded child care programs and other child care-related projects and programs funded by public and private contracts and grants. Crystal Stairs’ multi-ethnic, interdisciplinary staff has considerable experience in early childhood education, child care provider training and technical assistance, subsidy program management and service delivery, program research and evaluation, and specialized forms of technical assistance.
