The San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) is a private, non-profit, mutual benefit corporation composed of nearly 1,000 member organizations, businesses, local governments, and individuals seeking a better community through the visitor industry. SDTA members include tourism-related entities in such categories as lodging, dining, arts & attractions, shopping, and transportation, among others, as well as other companies indirectly involved in the visitor industry. As a sales and marketing organization, the main objective of SDTA is to promote and market San Diego County as an ideal vacation destination and convention site. SDTA also represents and supports the interests of the visitor industry as a whole. The majority of funding received by SDTA is derived from San Diego Tourism Marketing District Funds. Lodging and other tourism related business in the District raise these funds through self assessments for the purpose of promoting tourism in the San Diego region. As a membership organization, the SDTA also receives financial support from member dues, advertising, and promotional assistance from the membership through donated in-kind services.

Since 1969, Center for Community Solutions has evolved into a leader in San Diego County and in California for providing compassionate, professional, and innovative solutions for helping individuals who have been affected by relationship violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Our community-based and collaborative programs aim to eliminate societal conditions that condone and perpetuate violence and abuse, and they include: • 24-hour crisis hotline • 24-hour in-person emergency crisis response to victims of sexual assault • 24-hour emergency shelters for domestic violence victims and their children • Long-term emergency shelter • Accompaniment to forensic exams for survivors of rape and sexual assault • Legal services, court accompaniment and on-going client services • Individual, child, and family counseling • Prevention and education • Community Outreach CCS operates the only Rape Crisis Center in San Diego. Last year CCS served over 22,000 individuals affected by intimate partner violence, sexual assault and stalking. Who we are: The Downtown San Diego Partnership is a nonprofit organization that serves as the principal voice and driving force behind the economic prosperity and cultural vitality of Downtown San Diego through membership, advocacy and public services. It also serves as the managing organization for several special districts - including the Clean & Safe program - that provide essential public services in the 275 blocks of Downtown. The organization’s nearly 300 members, representing a variety of business sectors including real estate, technology, banking, law, defense, insurance, communications, energy, and tourism are committed to nurturing a Downtown that benefits the entire San Diego region.

The Chicano Federation was established in 1969 to provide a variety of comprehensive, neighborhood-based services to a large and diverse population. Our mission is to provide empowering opportunities for our diverse community. In its early years, the Federation was led by a tireless group of advocates dedicated to seeing advances in civil rights and civic participation. Today, those strong roots empower the Chicano Federation to serve diverse populations throughout San Diego County with programs that help low-income children and families access vital and often life-changing services. Chicano Federation programs and services include subsidized care for infants and toddlers, early childhood education at a preschool in Barrio Logan, subsidized meals for over 5,000 children a month, and 300 units of affordable housing at nine apartment buildings in Barrio Logan, City Heights, and South Park neighborhoods of San Diego.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness in San Diego is the city’s voice on mental illness. We are part of the grass-roots, non-profit,national NAMI organization founded in 1979 by family members of people with mental illness. We are also an affiliate of NAMI California. We have a threefold mission: Support people with mental illnesses and their families by helping them find coping mechanisms for their daily struggle with brain disorders. Educate people who have mental illness, their families, and the general public about mental illness with the goal of dispelling ignorance and stigma. Advocate for more research and an improved system of mental health services across the nation. At the heart of NAMI San Diego’s mission is the sharing of information and striving to end the stigma associated with mental illness. To this end, we offer a Helpline, support groups, educational meetings, newsletters, a lending library and a number of classes on mental illness held at various locations throughout San Diego County.
