One person HR department for 4 hotels
• Manage acquisition and integration of new hotel to portfolio- Holiday Inn Elgin 2013.
• Manage the recruitment of qualified applicants for hotel positions; conducts new employee orientation to familiarize employees with Crowne Plaza and Human Resources programs, complete new hire paperwork.
• Assist with ALL human resources functions for 3 sister hotel properties.
• Designed and implemented employee orientation program
• Conduct all employee relations issues
• Translate to Spanish speaking employees in all employee matters.
• Conduct and translate all department meetings.
• Assist with development of specialized incentive/recognition programs.
• Create incentive programs that include employee parties and management parties
• Ensure consistency in application and compliance with government laws and regulations, e.g. OSHA, EEO, FLSA, Wage & Hour, etc.
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files on all employees
• Update all job descriptions
• Oversee the processing of appropriate workers’ compensation and unemployment claims
• Review and update employee handbook.
