PACS trains and hires healthcare leaders, and provides a wide array of back-office support services to healthcare facilities, reducing administrative burdens so local leadership and care teams can focus more of their efforts on the care, well-being, and quality of life of their patients. The PACS team consists of 300+ professionals who provide accounting, finance, human resources, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, legal, risk management, information technology and other business advice and support from its headquarters in Farmington, UT, and satellite offices across the United States. PACS provides back-office administrative support to more than 200 independently-operated healthcare facilities in nine states.

With its diversification into non-gaming businesses, the tribe has become the largest private sector employer in the Banning-Beaumont region and is a major contributor to the Coachella Valley economy. The tribe now employs more than 3,000 people. An independent study reported that the tribe's gaming and non-gaming businesses would generate more than $2.8 billion into the regional economy by 2008. The tribe pays payroll taxes, unemployment benefits, employee benefits and provides health programs. More than two thirds of the Morongo workforce is composed of residents from the Banning Pass and desert cities. On both community outreach and social education fronts, Morongo has taken a leadership role. The tribe gives generously on an annual basis to hundreds of local community groups. Pala Skate Park was designed by award winning skate park designer, Wally Hollyday, to be used by skateboarders and BMX riders. Pala aims to make an impact on the community through education, cultural and environmental programs. The educational programs are structured to help community members strategize and set goals in order to achieve their personal educational objectives. The Cupa Cultural Centers is dedicated to protecting traditions and preserving history. The annual Cupa Days celebration takes place on the first weekend of May. The Pala Tribe’s Environmental Department strives to protect the air, water, land, and culture of the Pala Reservation.
