Chapa-De Indian Health operates non-profit community health centers in Auburn and Grass Valley, California that provide adult and pediatric primary medical care, nutrition and health education, women’s health services, dental care, orthodontia, mental health counseling, psychiatry, optometry, and pharmacy services. The mission of Chapa-De Indian Health is to advance the health and well-being of American Indians and low income individuals living in our communities by providing convenient access to high-quality, compassionate care. We serve over 20,000 patients each year and continue to expand our services based on the needs of our communities. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care regardless of financial situation or ethnicity. Our passion is to care for American Indian and Alaska Native people as well as low-income individuals and families. We are a healthcare safety net provider and accept Medi-Cal, Medicare and have a sliding fee scale based on income for the uninsured.

In 1937, a group of judges sought to improving the effectiveness of the nation's juvenile courts and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) was born. Pursuing our mission of improving the courts and systems practice for our nation's children and families, as well as raising awareness of child welfare and domestic violence issues continues to this day. The NCJFCJ provides cutting-edge training, wide-ranging technical assistance, and research to help the nation's courts, judges and staff in their important work. Each year, the NCJFCJ provides education, technical assistance, and publications to an estimated 30,000 judges, court administrators, social and mental health workers, police, probation officers, and others working in the juvenile and family courts at its headquarters in Reno and throughout the country. In conjunction with the University of Nevada, Reno and the National Judicial College, the NCJFCJ participates in unique advanced degree programs for judges and other court professionals.

Tribal Government

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is the leading non-profit youth services agency in northern Nevada. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life for children, ages 0 to 18, in the Truckee Meadows through after-school, summer and track break programming and services. The Club is committed to creating healthy children, in body and mind, with a sense of competence, usefulness, responsibility, belonging and influence, through diverse programs and community involvement. Founded in 1976, the Club now serves nearly 13,000 children at 40+ sites throughout Nevada. At all of its sites, the Boys & Girls Club strives to provide kids with positive and productive outlets for their energy with programs such as after-school tutoring, character and leadership development, healthy lifestyles, athletics and art. And while the Club invests more than $3,000 annually into each of its members, memberships cost just $20 per year, providing equal opportunity to all children in the community.

The Great Basin Institute is an interdisciplinary field studies organization that promotes environmental research, education, and conservation throughout the West. The Institute advances science-based adaptive management of public lands n through educational outreach and direct service programs. We connect passionate, experienced and knowledgeable people with the important work of managing landscapes, wildlife and other resources across the West.

The North Tahoe Community Alliance, formerly the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA), promotes and manages visitation in North Lake Tahoe and collaborates to achieve economic health, community vitality, and environmental sustainability to benefit our residents, businesses, and visitors.

OUR MISSION: Feeding the hungry today and solving hunger for tomorrow through community partnership. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada provides emergency food services to families through a network of more than 150 partner agencies in a 90,000 square mile service area throughout northern Nevada and the eastern slope of the sierra in California. We serve more than 115,000 people each month, nearly half of whom are children and seniors. Last fiscal year, we provided more than 20 million meals to neighbors in need. The Food Bank also plays a leading role in collaborating with other committed northern Nevada community members and organizations to address the root causes of hunger. The Food Bank incorporated in 1983 and has operated as a 501C3 non-profit organization for more than 35 years. We have grown from a small pantry to a regional distribution center helping many families who struggle with hunger. We are a proud member of Feeding America, a network of more than 200 food banks.

AmeriCorps VISTA Program Manager: Coordinated services for 10 VISTA members throughout the State of Nevada. AmeriCorps Service Learning VISTA Team Lead: Provided technical assistance to team members throughout the State of Nevada in implementing the Service Learning methodology in local communities. Southern Nevada Service Learning VISTA member: Assist local organizations in Las Vegas to develop and implement Service Learning programs for adolescents.

The Nevada Chapter AGC was formed in 1939 by a group of Nevadans to replace the dangerous gravel roads in Northern Nevada with modern asphalt. Now the group has become known for more than building roads. AGC members have battled floods, built hospitals, parks and schools. Over 300 members strong, the Nevada Chapter strives to support the image and awareness of the construction industry and the community quality of life with “Skill, Integrity and Responsibility.” The Nevada Chapter AGC represents Northern Nevada’s top general contractors and building professionals. The AGC has dedicated itself to enriching the quality of future professionals in Nevada. The AGC is designed to create a cohesive environment in the construction field for the purpose of creating unity among members, building a professional work environment, increasing work satisfaction, and improving job performance.
