We strive to provide prompt, professional service to our patients and communicate in a caring and compassionate manner. Since 1989, our practice has grown to include 17 physicians and 10 acute care nurse practitioners. All physicians maintain board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary medicine or both through the American Board of Internal Medicine. We partner with Methodist Healthcare Sleep Disorders Center, a 16 bed facility accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) providing the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for infants to senior adults with sleep disorders 7 nights a week. Our sleep specialist team consists of (5) physicians maintaining additional board certifications in sleep medicine through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. One (1) sleep physician is also board certified in pediatric neurology. Services provided in the Sleep Center include: -Unattended home sleep studies -Attended, in-lab Polysomnography (formal sleep study) - with application and titration of nasal CPAP, BiPAP, APAP and ASV for central apnea. - with titration of upper airway stimulation therapy -Maintenance of wakefulness testing (required by FAA and TDOT) -Multiple sleep latency testing When the providers are not in pulmonary or sleep clinics, they are treating critically ill patients in the intensive care units as Intensivists at Baptist East Hospital, Methodist Healthcare - Germantown, North, South and University as well as St. Francis Hospital - Park Ave.

In 1973 two otologist and a facial plastic surgeon formed the precurser of AOC. This group created a freestanding Outpatient Surgery center ( the forst in Arkansas and one of the first in the nation). Shortly thereafter, they began selling hearing aids which was unheard of in an ENT practice at that time. In the 1990's the initial founders had retired, the practice merged with other smaller groups in central Arkansas becoming AOC. There are currently 14 FTE practitioners and approximatly 80 support staff at 5 permanent sites. Additional services provided are a surgery center with 2 surgical suites; full audiology and hearing aid services; vestibular diagnostic and theraputic services; and a CT scanner.
