FSL, also known as Foundation for Senior Living, has been caring for Arizonans since 1974. OUR WHY By 2030, there will be more Americans over the age of 65 than under the age of 18. And at FSL, we know that 89% of people over the age of 65 in the US do not want to go into assisted living. So, we do everything in our power to make that happen. OUR MISSION is to provide home and community-based services and develop energy-efficient, affordable housing to promote health, independence and dignity for all. We do this through a variety of programs and services focused on four areas of essential need: A SAFE HOME We develop and manage single- and multi-family homes, housing complexes, and residential behavioral health group homes in Arizona that offer affordable rents and mortgages. We also train and monitor sponsors of the Adult Foster Care and Adult Behavioral Health Therapeutic Home programs. These programs provide a safe home for 1,086 Arizonans each night. NUTRITIOUS MEALS We provide over 507,000 pounds of food to families in need from our two food pantries in the rural Arizona towns of Wickenburg and Peoria. Additionally, we serve nearly 208,000 congregate and home-delivered meals in the Phoenix metro area each year. On average, we feed 1,536 Arizonans each day. HEALTH & WELLNESS We offer services to empower community-based living, increase independence and enhance and maintain the highest functional quality of life for Arizonans of all ages. These include adult day health services, Medicare-certified home health and non-medical home care services. Last year, we provided 186.334 hours of respite for caregivers. EDUCATION We educate clients, family and professional caregivers, and members of the community in an effort to empower them to maintain and enhance independence for themselves, their loved ones, and their clients.
