For 45 years, CCS Early Learning has held firmly to the belief that our primary job is to partner together with the child’s first and most important teachers—the family. We understand that parents and guardians, aunts and uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers all have more experience and knowledge about the children in their lives, than we do. And, while we have a wonderful opportunity to come alongside children and families to assist and support them for a period of time, the immediate family members in a child’s life will continue to have the greatest impact both now and for many years to come. This is exactly why our program takes a multi-generational approach. Together with parents, we work to screen and assess children across the entire spectrum; dental, medical, developmental, nutritional, behavioral, and educational. All of this assessment is designed to assist us in getting to know the child as thoroughly and as quickly as possible. Once we have done this, we can work together with families to set goals that will challenge and encourage the child in reaching their next developmental steps. As families develop stronger, trusting relationships with CCS staff members we often discover areas where families would like assistance in reaching their own goals. This might include increased adult education or vocational training, additional knowledge about positive parenting techniques or child development, or help to acquire better housing or meet basic family needs. Every family is different and our job is to meet each one where they are and offer our assistance in a supportive and non-judgmental way.

Northern Industrial Training, LLC (NIT) is a privately owned, serving the public, vocational training center specializing in professional truck driving, heavy equipment, National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) construction building trades, NCCER oil and gas pipeline, hazardous materials, and corporate services. NIT headquarters are in Palmer with training available onsite throughout Alaska. NIT has offices in Palmer, Alaska and Anchorage, Alaska. NIT was established as a response to the growing demands from the Transportation, Oil & Gas, and Construction industries. NIT was founded with the concept of providing classroom and hands on training to not meet but exceed basic requirements for the people of Alaska. NIT has licensed instructors throughout Anchorage, Palmer, Fairbanks, the Kenai Peninsula and Southeast Alaska. Our newly designed training programs allow us to provide this high quality in all of our target fields enabling graduates to succeed at employment in their chosen careers.

Alaska Geographic is a non-profit bookstore, publisher, educator, and supporter of Alaska’s magnificent parks, forests, and refuges. Our primary goal is to connect people with their public lands in Alaska. Alaska Geographic is the primary partner in the Murie Science and Learning Center, a consortium of partners working to provide educational opportunities and support research efforts in Denali National Park, as well as 7 other National Parklands in the arctic and subarctic region.

Reading Write Alaska diagnoses and treats a variety of speech, language, and learning impairments. We have offices in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Wasilla. Our clinic is comprised of both Speech-Language Pathologists and Certified teachers with expert training and knowledge in all areas of language and learning, including Dyslexia. Reading Write Alaska provides expert treatment and tutoring services for dyslexia and other language learning impairments. We also offer services in writing, math, and SAT prep. The Alaska Safety Alliance works with employers to identify training needs and ensure Alaskans can access training they need for great careers in Alaska’s critical industries, including oil and gas, mining, maritime, construction, and more. We also provide safety-related training for employees and manage the North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC), which develops and maintains standardized health, safety and environmental training programs for employees on Alaska’s North Slope and at industrial sites throughout the state. ASA provides classroom and computer-based training for oil and gas, maritime, construction, mining, and other industry sectors. ASA utilizes a digital platform to track worker training and can create custom training to meet evolving needs. We simplify the training process, ensuring training is consistent and verifiable. ASA strives to ensure all employees are knowledgeable and prepared to work safely in Alaska’s unique environment.
