Industry Services was first established in 1985 in Mobile, Alabama. In 1956, the Hunter family started in the refractory business by purchasing a union refractory company in Memphis, TN, Lynn Whitsett Corporation. In 1995 the Hunter family expanded the business again by acquiring D.A. Collins Refractories, a non-union sector business begun in 1964. Industry Services Co., Inc. was bought by D.A. Collins Refractories in 2000, retaining the name and becoming our main office. Industry Services remains family owned and operated, and has expanded to several locations in efforts to better serve our customers: Lake City, FL, Summerville, SC, and Six Mile, SC. In August of 2014, Industry Services once again expanded, acquiring DG Skouse Company in Peculiar, MO. In October of 2018, we added ML Smith Tanks and Refractories to our company. Finally, we partnered with Guy Nielson Co. in August of 2020. Industry Services prides itself on our high safety record and providing high quality products and services. Our personnel are the key to guaranteeing our customers' satisfaction. Skills, technology and support teams continue to deliver and maintain company integrity.
