Pinnacle Behavioral Health, Inc. (PBH) provides multiple levels of behavioral health care including outpatient counseling for all ages, intensive outpatient program (IOP) for ages 13 - 18, residential care for ages 12 - 18, and private academy for grades 6 - 12. Each are individualized to meet the needs of adolescents, teens and adults. In-office and TeleHealth services are provided for individual and family therapy. PBH incorporates treatment and intervention techniques to increase the strengths and resources of each client. Counseling is delivered by licensed providers with strong credentials and clinical experience in child, adolescent and adult behavioral health. Elk River Treatment Program provides therapeutic intervention with 24/7 supervision in a safe residential setting. Candidates are exhibiting maladaptive behaviors that often stem from underlying mental health or behavior issues and/or substance abuse. ERTP is situated on 120 acres to better utilize the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors. Elk River is staffed by caring, licensed and experienced professionals that provide around-the-clock supervision, assessment and therapeutic services, medication management, experiential and accredited education. The Treatment Team is led by a child and adolescent forensic psychiatrist and includes physicians, nurses, licensed counselors, certified addiction counselor, highly qualified and state certified teachers. ERTP is an in-network provider for Cigna, UBH/Optum, Beacon and American Behavioral insurance. ERTP is not a provider for Medicaid. Pinnacle Private Academy is a college-prep, therapeutic day school for grades 6 - 12. Individual learning plans are developed for each student. Students may work at their own pace using an accredited on-line program and/or attend the brick-and-mortar school located in Huntsville, AL with support of highly qualified, state certified teachers in the classroom. Therapeutic services are available.

Providing programs and activities geared to our active and productive seniors. Each week we offer over forty different creative skills classes, four different dance classes, two different exercise groups, creative writing, computer skills, duplicate and party bridge and other card games, billiards, music classes, chorus, orchestra, health screenings, and health related programs. We also provide a variety of services for those much less active seniors who are confined on a limited or permanent basis to their homes including, Meals on Wheels, limited homemaker services, case management, and information and referral. These services help keep people in their own homes for longer periods of time and saves millions of dollars in nursing home expenses. The Senior Center itself is one of six nutrition centers in Madison County which provide a hot meal each day, Monday through Friday, at a cost to the seniors dictated by income. There are also 40+ satellite groups associated with the Senior Center throughout Madison County to provide additional activities and camaraderie for hundreds of seniors. Our award winning Senior Center is considered one of the top centers in the United States. Personal Enrichment Programs Recreation - Organized activities range from table games, trips and dances, to sporting events, line dancing, and performing arts. Creative Skills - Ceramics, woodworking, painting, sewing and needlework are some of the classes continuously offered. Health - Maintenance programs feature exercises, screenings, education, and stress management. Education - History, languages, writing, genealogy, and computers are examples of the classes offered. Transportation - Assistance is provided for those unable to use the City Shuttle. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program - Providing valuable services for area non-profit agencies.
