FOREST COUNTY POTAWATOMI COMMUNITY
FOREST COUNTY POTAWATOMI COMMUNITY
Crandon, Wisconsin
500+ employees
The Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCPC) is a Native Sovereign Nation located in Crandon, Wis., with operations based in Crandon and Milwaukee. FCPC is the largest employer in Forest County and offers employment and career opportunities in a wide and varied field of sectors that include: Healthcare, Education, Social Services, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Administrative Support Services. While FCPC provides its employees family-sustaining wages and above average benefit packages, an added plus is the rich and colorful Native American culture that’s naturally woven into the fabric that makes this community so special. Although we cannot say this about the fine, big city of Milwaukee, life in Forest County (and the Northwoods as a whole) is a bit slower, with a simpler approach to living the dream. That’s because we live IN the dream. This is rural at its best: rivers, lakes, fresh air, wildlife, forests, and four full seasons – not to mention the fun activities that pair so well with all those things! We work hard; we play hard. It should also be noted that some young people graduate high school and leave the Forest County nest, and for many reasons: college, career, adventure. Yet, many of them return when they begin a family. The reason is simple: This is a great place to raise kids. This is a small community with a big heart and down-to-earth values. It must be said that the arrival of Indian Gaming and forward thinking were the main catalysts in creating those ‘family-sustaining wages and above average benefit packages’ that now exist and that allow young people to return. This was not always the case. Having said all that, there’s just one question to ask: What are you waiting for? Take a breath of fresh air, dip your toes in the water, grab a sled and head for the hill, or take in the scenery on foot, on skis, in the car. If FCPC can provide the job, you can provide the fun! Now is the time to take the next step toward your future.

Trig's is considered more of a collection then a chain. Each store is designed to uniquely serve its community in a very personal and committed way, taking on the personality of its region. But most importantly, Trig's goal is to make sure you get the best service no matter what. The collection started in 1971 when Trygve (Trig) and Tula Solberg started the company with a single small store in Land O'Lakes, Wisconsin. Today, T.A. Solberg Company, Inc. operates five Trig's stores in the Northern Wisconsin communities of Rhinelander, Minocqua, Eagle River, Wausau and Stevens Point. Each store is a complete one stop experience with an expansive deli, service meat counter, Cellar 70 Wine and Spirits and a full service Healthmart pharmacy. Trig's is one part of the larger T.A. Solberg Company, Inc., a diverse and healthy organization of over 1,000 associates that also operate Trig's Village Market in Manitowish Waters, Trig's Ace Hardware in Rhinelander, Tula's Café in Minocqua and Rhinelander, three Postal Express stores, several fuel and convenience stores throughout northern and central Wisconsin, Trig's Central Bakery and Trucking Facility, Trig's Recycling Center, and Twice is Nice Consignment in Rhinelander. Great North Bank is family owned and proudly independent. We provide a better banking experience with flexible, efficient and innovative financial services and expertise. Unlike “mega banks” Great North Bank is an independent community bank. Our bankers are accessible and able to advise and make decisions quickly providing businesses the agility to compete and helping individuals and families achieve their dreams more quickly. The Great North Bank story starts 1891 in a vastly forested and lake filled region in the North. You could say we were the “original economic developers” partnering with businesses and families to achieve the American dream. The bank boasts three generations of family ownership thanks to determination, unwavering service, and willingness to innovate and explore. In celebration of our 125th year, we renamed our bank Great North Bank (formerly State Bank of Florence). Our ownership has not changed and we are more committed than ever to the principles of independent banking. The new brand identity will further strengthen our position in the market.
