College Now (formerly Cleveland Scholarship Programs) paves the way for middle and high school students and adult learners to prepare for, finance, and graduate from postsecondary education. For more than 50 years, our goal has been to help students pursue educational opportunities that empower them to embark on rewarding careers and strengthen the Greater Cleveland community. We deliver college access and success advising, financial aid counseling, and scholarship services in schools, in the College Now Resource Center, and through community-based programs. We serve over 30,000 students and adult learners a year, many of whom are from low-income families and are first-generation college students. Without College Now, many never would attend postsecondary and graduate career-ready.

EDEN’s mission is to provide housing solutions to people facing the challenges of housing insecurities and homelessness. EDEN recognizes that housing is a basic right of all people, and the first step in helping those vulnerable and disadvantaged transform their lives. We envision that, through our efforts, homelessness will be brief and rare; and every family will have a safe, secure place to call home. We believe housing serves as a foundation to build stable lives, advance independence, and fulfill aspirations.

Community Health Services (CHS) is a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers that provide medical, dental and behavioral health care in six counties in northwest Ohio including: Henry, Hancock, Allen, Huron, Wood and Sandusky. CHS operates nine medical offices in the region and our main campus is based in Fremont, Ohio. CHS providers offer a broad spectrum of care in specialties such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Behavioral Health and Dentistry. CHS is accredited by the Joint Commission and is certified as a “Primary Care Medical Home” or PCMH. This special accreditation means that CHS is recognized as a model for primary care excellence that is patient-centered, comprehensive, coordinated, accessible, and focused on quality and safety. Patients are treated with respect, dignity and compassion. Over the years, CHS has earned the reputation as a leader for excellence in the region and has a proven track record of meeting or exceeding standards set for the health care industry. Dedicated to meeting the needs of typically rural and under-served communities, income is never a barrier to care at CHS. CHS accepts Medicaid, all Medicaid managed care plans, Medicare, and most insurance companies. Self-pay patients are also accepted and a sliding fee schedule is available for qualifying patients based on income and family size. CHS actively supports and participates in collaborative programs designed to enhance access and quality of health care in the communities that we serve. Partnering with local and regional hospitals, health departments, agencies and other organizations, CHS continues to seek out innovative strategies to maximize the impact local and regional health care has on the health and wellness of the community.

Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization is a non-profit 501(c)3 community development corporation, founded in 1973 to catalyze development in Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood.

Lakeside Chautauqua is a nonprofit organization that engages individuals in a year-round Chautauqua experience dedicated to nurturing mind, body and spirit. Located halfway between Cleveland and Toledo, it is an historic Chautauqua community that offers spiritual opportunities, educational lectures, cultural arts programming and recreational pursuits for guests of all ages. With daily concerts, special events, educational seminars, recreational opportunities, cottages, hotels, shops, restaurants and an historic movie theater, Lakeside Chautauqua remains a summer retreat for generations of families. Community Action Commission of Erie, Huron & Richland Counties, Inc. (CACEHR), in Sandusky, Ohio, joined the war against poverty in 1965. As a Non-Profit organization, we provide community service programs that are aimed to improve the living condition of the economically challenged sector of society. In our more than 50 years of operation, our nonprofit organization continues to strive hard in fulfilling our mission. We aim to promote self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of those in need. Over the years, our organization has grown and developed so extensively that we are now widely recognized. Nowadays, we have several targeted services in effect. These cover the following areas or programs: Head Start, Home Energy Assistance Program, Winter Crisis Program, Percentage of Income Payment Plan, Summer Cooling Program, Essential Closet, Senior Nutrition, Food Pantry, Norwalk Shelter, Home Repair. Fatherhood and Motherhood Mentoring Program, and all Categorized Community Service Block Grant programs. Each service effectively solves a specific problem confronting the people we serve.

The First Catholic Slovak Union (FCSU), otherwise known as Jednota, literally means “union” in the Slovak language. Right from the start, over 100 years ago, a “union” of immigrants to the USA knew that they were stronger together than apart. Together they built a fraternal society that offered excellent life insurance and annuity products. Today, FCSU is a “union” of thousands of people across the United States and Canada. Men and women. Children and adults. Slovaks and non-Slovaks. Catholics and non-Catholics. Our members in our current union have in common the ability to select a good financial product to protect their families or their savings, with the added benefit of enjoying fraternal activities when and where they choose.
