The Hope Foundation for Cancer Research is a public charity with the mission of raising and contributing funds for the treatment and prevention of cancer. The Hope Foundation supports SWOG Cancer Research Network (formerly the Southwest Oncology Group), one of the largest Cancer Clinical Trials Cooperative Groups, funded in part by the National Cancer Institute. We fund education and research programs for those who dedicate their lives to seeking answers and finding cures.

Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support and services to over 1,400 individuals with disabilities and other mental health needs in the Wayne and Macomb Counties. Individuals with barriers are enabled to reach their best potential and life goals through self-employment, supported employment, volunteer opportunities, and a variety of programs and trainings. We strongly believe that all individuals have the choice and ability to achieve the quality of life they deserve. Services To Enhance Potential is the owner and operator of STEP Thrift Store and Donation Centers. Our thrift store operations are significantly different from others in the community. STEP Thrift Store and Donation Centers hire the individuals that we serve; allowing them to earn a livable income, learn useful real-world skills, and integrate in community life. Our mission is to support individuals in the pursuit of their chosen goals and the achievement of personal satisfaction in their lives.

Community Housing Network (CHN) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing homes for people in need through proven strategies of homeless prevention, housing assistance, affordable housing development, community education, advocacy, and referrals. Since 2001, CHN has served as the leading housing resource nonprofit organization in southeast Michigan and serves thousands of families and individuals annually who are facing homelessness, people with disabilities, low-income households, and other vulnerable Michigan residents.

The Area Agency on Aging 1-B is a nonprofit agency responsible for services to more than 620,000 persons age 60 and older residing in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties. Through the provision of home care and community-based services, older adults are provided with options that can help maintain their health and independence in their homes and communities.

Growth Works, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization serving youth, adults and families in Western Wayne and surrounding areas with a focus of juvenile justice, substance use disorders and family interventions. For over 50 years the agency has designed and implemented innovative programs to meet the needs and challenges of our communities from a youth drop in center in the 1970s, to formalizing programs for delinquent and chemically dependent youth with parent components in the 1980’s, through adding case management services for adjudicated youth in the 1990’s, providing a menu of support services for our clients and families in 2000’s. The agency continues to grow and enhance services with a greater family stability emphasis, adult treatment resources and community based opportunities for youth. Current efforts combine an expertise in the field of adolescent addiction and juvenile justice and the elements of brain based techniques, emotional regulation & trauma informed therapies.

What We Do We assist older adults, adults with disabilities and caregivers by removing social, economic, physical and psychological barriers and creating aging friendly neighborhoods through nutrition, health and wellness and senior independence.

Founded in 1971, Spectrum Community Services is a registered, private non-profit organization that improves the health and safety of seniors and low-income residents in Alameda County by enhancing their quality of life and helping them age at home with dignity.

Since 1921, Oakland Family Services has recognized that sometimes families face challenges they cannot resolve on their own. In the 98 years since then, individuals and families have continued to struggle with problems that require professional support, guidance and services. More and more families are dealing with day care, parenting issues, family and work stress. Substance abuse, family violence, child abuse, divorce, death and a host of other problems contribute to feelings of loneliness and confusion. Oakland Family Services remains committed to providing a wealth of programs for individuals and families in our community, programs that help put individuals and families back on a path to a brighter future.

BRIEF HISTORY OF NPI One person experiencing homelessness is one too many. For the last 30 years in Lucas County and Northwest Ohio, there has been an alternative for people with no options, a history of mental illness, or of substance use – Neighborhood Properties Inc. NPI began providing permanent supportive housing in 1988 as a product of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Program on Chronic Mental Illness. Through the Foundation's investment, NPI and eight other sister organizations across the country piloted a new housing practice that would become known as permanent supportive housing. Since then NPI has utilized Federal, State, and local public and private resources to sustain safe, decent, stable, and affordable housing for people living with a major mental illness. WELLNESS & RECOVERY CENTER In 2018, NPI opened the first program of its kind in Ohio, the Wellness & Recovery Center (WRC). In this peer run respite center, adults experiencing excessive stress can receive 24-hour services to develop coping skills, wellness & recovery action plans, and relaxation techniques.

CCSEM was formed to address the changing human needs by providing the highest level of professional services for families and individuals in the counties of the Archdiocese of Detroit while maintaining respect for ethnic, religious, and racial diversity, and recognizing the differences that exist and the related variety of needs within the geographic areas served. CCSEM operates various programs and services through 14 office locations in the six counties of the Archdiocese of Detroit. (Monroe, Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, Lapeer and St Clair) Our programs and services include: Adoption, Foster Care, and Supervised Independent Living; Adult Day Health Services; the All Saints Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry; La Cases Amiga (Hispanic Outreach Services); Behavioral and Mental Health Counseling; Substance Use Disorder Counseling; Project Hope (pro-life ministry); and Senior Volunteer Services.

MHP Salud serves communities by embracing the strengths and experiences of individuals and families, engaging them to achieve health and well-being. Our community programs consist of several Community Health Worker-led initiatives that target health and social issues such as access to health care, chronic disease control and management, healthy relationships, aging, nutrition, and more. In addition, MHP Salud is dedicated to supporting organizations in their efforts to improve the productivity and performance of new or existing CHW programs. We continuously collaborate with national health organizations and associations to develop training and resources and provide technical assistance centered around the CHW profession.
