The Great Lakes Loons are the High-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. On June 2, 2006, the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, finalized the purchase agreement of the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays, paving the way for the team to be relocated to Midland, MI. Centrally located in downtown Midland, beautiful Dow Diamond has been the home of the Loons since the inaugural game on April 13, 2007. Dow Diamond has established itself as one of the premier minor league stadiums in the country, earning several awards in the process. The Michigan Baseball Foundation was established to bring affordable, family-friendly entertainment to Mid-Michigan. Through the Great Lakes Loons and Dow Diamond, MBF aims to revitalize and reinvigorate the region and promote greater economic and civic prosperity. MBF, in accordance with the IRS, formed for the purpose of supporting regional youth organizations. The foundation received initial funding from the Dow Corning Corporation, The Dow Chemical Company Foundation, The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, The Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation, The Charles J. Strosacker Foundation, and The Bill and Linda Stavropoulos Foundation. ESPN 100.9-FM is the radio flagship home of the Great Lakes Loons. The station was purchased by the Loons organization on March 25, 2008. MBF helped finance the purchase and funded the construction of the radio studio in the Dow Diamond press box, overlooking the baseball field, which was completed in January 2009. Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, a summer school of the arts located on a 1,600 acre campus in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest, offers fine arts education for all ages. Each summer, the principal camp program serves more than 5,400 gifted elementary, junior high, and high school students with diverse programs in music, art, dance, and drama while offering more than 175 performances during its Summer Arts Festival. Blue Lake also operates a widely acclaimed International Exchange Program and two public radio stations. Since its inception in 1966, Blue Lake has provided cultural enrichment to more than 350,000 gifted students and countless concert-goers. Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp strives to maintain an atmosphere where students who want to learn may do so in an environment which encourages creativity and recognizes the importance of the individual. Students are accepted at whatever their proficiency level may be and are encouraged to grow. Faculty and staff strive to motivate campers and share with them the joy of achievement in the fine arts. Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp draws its inspiration from the Arens Art Colony that was located in Door County, Wisconsin, and founded in 1922 by Ludolph Arens. Arens, who served as a piano professor at the Lawrence Conservatory and conductor of the Green Bay Symphony, was the grandfather of Blue Lake’s founder and president, Fritz Stansell. The Arens Art Colony may have been the first summer camp in America dedicated to the idea that an arts school in a secluded, natural setting can shelter gifted young people from the influences of the outside world and allow them to study with concentrated effort. The spirit of the Arens Art Colony continues to flourish at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. The fundamental mission to motivate students to pursue their art with new enthusiasm continues to drive those who have worked to make Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp what it is today.

Founded in 1972, Grand Rapids Ballet (GRB) is Michigan's only professional ballet company. Under the artistic direction of former San Francisco Ballet dancer, James Sofranko, Grand Rapids Ballet has made an exciting transformation that has attracted world-class dancers, produced some of the most creative works in contemporary dance, and generated local, national, and international attention. Presenting numerous styles of dance from some of the finest choreographers of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Company, consisting of over 30 professional dancers from the United States and around the world, rehearses in its own Meijer-Royce Center for Dance and performs at Peter Martin Wege Theatre, located in the heart of Grand Rapids. The Company also consists of a ballet school with classes for ages 3 and up and Junior Company where students receive the highest quality dance instruction in a nurturing and encouraging environment while developing knowledge of technique, self-discipline, poise, grace, and a love of dance.
