The Place d’Armes Hotel at Jackson Square is the most historic of the hotels, with 7 separate buildings (oldest circa 1890) surrounding a lush courtyard and swimming pool. The Hotel St. Marie, Prince Conti Hotel and French Market Inn are additional French Quarter locations just off Bourbon St. and the Mississippi River. The newest Brakeman Hotel is located on the edge of the French Quarter at Basin St. Station, the old Southern Railway building. The Bombay Club Martini Bar & Restaurant in the Prince Conti Hotel is a must-stop on any French Quarter visit -as is- Vacherie Restaurant & Bar in the Hotel St. Marie. Basin St. Station is the old Southern Railway Freight & Baggage building on the edge of the French Quarter on the famous Basin St. Valentino Hospitality offers the Brakeman Hotel.
