As a member of the site Sr. Management team, act as strategic business partner to executives, headquarters in Tokyo, and local management formulating Human Resources plans. Develop and implement a variety of programs, including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, corporate social responsibility, and risk management to complement the manufacturing business direction. Direct supervision of a team of 5 human resources and administrative staff.
•Develops, implements and coordinates policies and programs for employees for site. Ensures policies and programs facilitate business goals and are consistent with guidelines established by executive management, including employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, training, placement, benefits and employee services. Ensures positive employee relations.
•Advises management on and leads the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary issues, compliance issues, and other investigations.
•Performs analysis of site human capital trends and collaborates with executive management on revising and implementing policies and procedures as needed.
•Oversees and reviews recruitment activities. Ensures searches are conducted within budgetary guidelines. Develops recommendations and consults with hiring managers.
•Provides advice on total remuneration packages to executive management in support of annual compensation review process. Oversees and directs the administration of benefits and other human resources programs, including payroll, leave administration, workers' compensation, and site contracted medical staff.
•Oversees and guides the implementation of communication and training with staff to ensure dissemination of site and Company information, policies and procedures.
•Develops and manages staff engaged in managing and coordinating human resources activities for site.
